Sofia Balkan Palace

"We had a wonderful stay at the Balkan Palace Sofia. The hotel’s location is perfect- right in the city center, steps away from the Metro and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The breakfast was diverse and delicious, and the coffee was excellent! However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. They were incredibly kind, patient, and solved every request we had with a smile. A huge shout-out to Anastasia at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, her warm welcome and genuine care made our experience incredibly pleasant. She was attentive to our every need throughout our stay. To the management: Anastasia is a true asset to your team! Highly recommended"

"From the moment we arrived, housekeeping didn't come to our room at all. We had to ask the front desk to send us clean towels and toilet paper.."

"The location is accessible to train and bus station, the ambiance was very relazing with restaurant, cafe’s,parks. I would like to commend Bobi and Kaan the receptionist and baggage attendant (doorman) who really helps us durung our stays, very warm welcome and accomodating."

"The location was excellent, right in the center of Sofia, with everything within walking distance, including Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Serdika Archaeological Complex, which made getting around very easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with a classic style that fits well with the atmosphere of Sofia Balkan Palace. Everything was well maintained and felt relaxing. Breakfast had a good variety of options. The quality was very good, and the service was smooth and efficient. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"The location is unbeatable - close to Serdika metro station and to all the sights by foot. Comfortable bed, coffee and tea in the room and Clarins shampoo and douche gel - what more does a girl need?! 😊 Anastasia from the reception had a nice smile and a welcoming personality - I liked this Ukrainian lady the most :) A lot from the staff at the reception don't speak Bulgarian, I find that poor"

"The cleaning personnel were... erratic - either did not read the "do not disturb" sign and were knocking at the door; or could not be found anywhere when I needed cleaning (just once in 8 nights stay when I run out of toilet paper - otherwise I did not want them in "my" room - I was keeping it clean) The curtains did not close properly (room 622, see photo), but I always use a mask, so that was not a problem; 5* hotels should not use sheets with holes in them (see photo, it was up by the head)"

"The coffee however was not nice, we chose to get our coffee outside of the hotel. We did find the room was quite small and cramped if you were staying for.a few days, might find it difficult to move around."

I would like to especially commend the manager from the reception Mr Rosen Nirolov that helped us to solve a problem in a very unique situation which we were facing. He was patient and very sensitive to our problem. We will return to this hotel for sure."
