"A very cozy place for those who want to enjoy nature and tranquility. Convenient to reach by car from Ljubljana. Kamnik is a 10-minute drive away, where you can go shopping or visit a café. In the evening, you can enjoy sitting around the campfire. There is a large meadow where children and adults can play. There is a convenient shared area with facilities and a kitchen."

We experienced difficulties getting the keys due to a small mistake by the staff, but it was resolved fairly quickly. In summer, it gets quite hot at night in the houses.

Not a problem with the campsite: there is 8 km unpaved road only to this place.

"Quiet but a bit remote. Very private. Beautiful property."

Cabin was quite small.

"I had such a great stay at Lac Castor! My hut was right on the lake and was well stocked with firewood and cooking utensils. It was a little more off-grid than I expected. It seems as though the huts lighting works from solar power only so the lights did start to cut out in the evening, there isn't much/any cell service and there weren't outlets to be able to charge my phone. The communal toilets however did have working outlets that could be used. But I would 100% stay here again! The site is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Being able to take a canoe out onto the lake at sunset was just magic! And the staff are so friendly. I would highly recommend staying here!"

It would be nice to have more power to the huts, but I was very happy with it nonetheless.
