"The position is great and the room is overall quiet despite the very trafficked road."

I didn't like the messiness of the place. Overall quite chaotic building with construction sites and no comfortable shared space. There is a great rooftop, but is not really used and fully available for guests yet.

"I came from Mumbai to Addis Ababa, then took a bus from Addis to Bahir Dar. This hostel was a gem with the value you pay. I asked them to buy the return bus ticket, pick up to the bus station in the early morning and they happily did. The best part was they helped me get an excellent tour package of the Lake Tana and the Blue Niles Waterfall, with very good price for one day, as I was tight with my schedule. The tour went very well with excellent and safe vehicles (car and boat), great guides, and all important places. The room I got has a queen size bed, shower and toilet attached, with good privacy and cleanliness. I stayed two nights and will do it again when I have a chance.Please support this property as well as the Bahir Dar. They are waiting and very happy to serve you to the best of their abilities."

"The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating, the facilities are clean and well kept, and Felix the cat will cuddle with you if you let him! In addition, the location of the hostel is very conveniently placed, and the other people staying there were delightful. All in all, my stay was 10/10! If I come back to the Faroe Islands this place will be my first choice!"

"Friendly and accommodating staff and management. Relaxing areas on the property to dine, relax and work. Not far from Central Zomba."

Our room was very small, the bed took up most of the floor space. However, this has to be balanced with the amount we paid.

"Rubens and his staff were excellent, they were kind and welcoming. I also went on Rubens wine tour, which was informative and enabled me to see severla key locations outside of the capital city. The private room I had was clean and pleasant and I had a good stay."

"I stayed for 5 days and had a great experience. The room was clean and had hot water, which I really appreciated! While the location might feel a little far from the city center for some, it’s still walkable (about 20–30 minutes on foot), and it was perfect for me since I planned to travel by train later. I also needed to work for several hours and the wifi connection worked perfectly fine! The staff were incredibly supportive—helping with airport pick-ups/drop-offs and even recommending local restaurants. Breakfast was included and quickly became one of the highlights of my stay. I especially loved that it was served in a ger in the dining area—such a unique touch!"

The kitchen facilities are a bit tricky because one kitchen is so small (one person can fit) and the upstairs kitchen has little sitting (except outside if the weather allows).

"I loved it here so much I stayed 11 nights. Amazing kitchen (but a fridge that never seems to get cleaned). A lovely river walk is right outside the campground. Great volunteers and cute dogs."

My tent didn’t close completely so who knows what animals could’ve visited me in the night. My room was never cleaned in the 11 days and I had to ask for a change of linens midway through.
