"Nice bed, shower, amazing desk, nice staff, even their restaurant is nice (Caesar salad, Fondant) and affordable."

There was some water on the bathroom floor, which I guess was caused by a leaking pipe. It did affect the overall experience a bit.

"We were exceptionally allowed to return after check out time to shower as our flight was later that night. We were also allowed to check in a couple hours before check in time as our flight was early that morning. The breakfast was great. Lots of variety. There should have been more fruit options though. The pool area was well kept and clean and so was the room. The staff were prompt and helpful."

It would have been nice if we were allowed to check out on a complimentary basis a couple hours later as our flight was at 7.50 pm.

"The hotel has basic accomodations: shared bathrooms, cold water shower. But for tropical climate I didn't need more. The hotel rates were unbeatable. I would stay again with no doubts. There is a bar nearby, so you could hear the singers/musicians until 9 or 10 pm. For breakfast you can buy coffee and baleadas, the best in the town. The diving shop was wonderful. Diving there feels like diving with people you know for very long time. They pay attention to your safety but at the same time are not too baby-sitting. Many people I met in there come annually, which tells you this place is unique."

"Lovely welcome from the hosts with offers of coffee and raki! Comfortable room for the night with all that we needed. Had the fish that was on offer in the evening which was yummy. Able to walk down to the boardwalk and monastery. Recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet getaway."

"The location was perfect! The balcony gave us a great view of the harbor and the activity. The room was large, two beds--great! I think the TV worked well, but that was less important to us. The room was bright and light."

It is never fun to need to put toilet paper in the waste basket, but that's necessary, right? I cannot remember, but I think there was no guide to TV channels, which is something my husband likes. Again, not very important.

Breakfast (really good) starts at 8.30. Should at 6.30 or. 7.00. Sound isolation not too good. Instead of infrared could have been proper sauna.

-The TV is not a smart TV. -The bed is small and not comfortable enough. -From time to time, food odors can be smelled, especially on the upper floors. -There is no heating during cold winter nights — the AC keeps running even when it’s cold. -The shower area slope is incorrect, causing water to flow outside the shower area. -The price is slightly high. .. Improvement Areas (Not Considered Cons): -There are many open parking spaces around the hotel, but it would be great if the hotel could manage one of these areas as an official hotel parking lot. -The dining area needs to be expanded to accommodate more guests. -The number of power sockets is not enough. -Hot water takes time to arrive — it’s not instant, so this should be improved.

"• The hotel is very modern, extravagant and visually beautiful, even if not everything is fully functional. • The rooms are extremely spacious and very comfortable. • The location is stunning — although it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, it is beautifully situated right on the Mekong River."

• The staff were very slow, especially in the restaurant. The bar/counter area often looked messy and disorganized. • Although the room itself was clean, the chocolate in the minibar was very old and moldy, which is unacceptable. • Some light bulbs in the room were not working or were flickering. • The small inner outdoor area of the room was dirty and poorly maintained.

"The family room was small, but had everything you need. The breakfast was delicious and the drink prices were reasonable. The best choice in the area. Evening village life is a separate show, unfortunately we couldn't find any entertainment nearby. And the wealthier residents instead gathered at our place of stay."

The first night we had trouble sleeping because at 3AM all the villagers started making noise (roosters, dogs, cats, turkeys, goats, sheep) but by the second and third we were already used to the village sounds.

"Our unit with kitchen and 2 bedrooms was spotless. Looks like we were given a set of new dishes as well as new bed sheets. The location was great. Could be within easy walking distance of the airport if carrying only light luggage. Within easy walking distance of Magazine Beach where we found the Aquarium Cafe, probably the best meal we had while visiting the island. Enjoyed the breeze from the top of Calliste Hill as well as watching, from my porch, local life at the gathering junction of Calliste Street and Coffee Street. Lots of local van taxis going either way, if needed to get anywhere quickly. Although the back of the Inn has the big views; we ended up with a street view unit, which was OK (plus lively) for 2 days. There is no longer a restaurant next door, although there are 2 small simple bars, one next door, the other across the street. Big off street parking lot if you have a car. Responsive and friendly staff."

For maintenance, I would probably freshly paint with water proof paint, the lower portions of the bathroom walls of the unit we were given; the walls just looked a bit water stained from shower use. The water cisterns make a loud noise when water taps are used, although it didn't last long plus our unit was located at the opposite end of the building from the cisterns. I just noticed the grinding noise and wondered if something in the water system was about to fail; the water pipes coming out of the cistern sounded unhappy.

"Such a beautiful location! The breakfast was just wonderful and the workers there were so kind and accommodating. We loved our room. We wish we could have stayed longer."

The only issue we had was that the water in the room was a little yellow. We were told that all the water on the island was that way, so I don’t think it could have been helped.

Very isolated, surrounded by an abandoned resort. Menu very limited and expensive although the chef was very obliging and did cook of menu dishes for those who asked. Our room wasn’t cleaned twice and we had to remind someone to do it, we had to move rooms as the toilet facilities broke on our first room but this was handled quickly. For the cost of the room I would have expected a little more e.g. bottled water free in the room, tissues to be available in the room, better quality toilet paper.

"The beds were comfortable and if you found the private bathroom the shower there was the best I have ever had anywhere. Good pressure and hot water. The location is great because it is close to the shops. They have a restaurant there and while the prices are a bit steep the food was quite good."

The place is a hotel in the process of renovation. It is a little old and had seen grander days. Our rooms while having clean beds saw windows that had cobwebs on them and flaky paint. The kitchen is communal and there was just one mug for all. The dish rags were used and dirty. There is a huge clock tower which is a feature of the town and it chimes all through the night. So if you are a light sleeper ask for a back room off the road. The bar staff in the hotel were excellent but there was a dispute with the owner who had posted different information on Booking.com from the room we received. We wanted two separate beds and were initially given one. After additional money was paid we got one room with two beds.

"It was a very pleasant stay. Didn't feel any stress at all. Very Friendly staff. Clean rooms and washrooms. Space is a bit small but for the amount I paid it was worth it. Less than a minute walk to the bus halt. 10 minute walk to the MRT. Saves a lot of money for transportation as well. Highly recommended for a few nights budget stays."

It’s the islands, so bring earplugs if roosters bother you. They are everywhere across ALL islands - Cook, Fiji, French Polynesia, Hawaii. A product of human migration.

"It was an amazing experience. Staff was friendly and professional in the same time. Facilities were clean at all times. Room was spacious and clean, cozy bed. We have had full access at the spa area, where was relaxing( 3 different saunas, pool, jacuzzi), also noticed the cleanness at all times. I warmly recommend this location."

"Rooms are small, very clean and functional. Good showers. The gardens are exceptional, peaceful, beautiful. Joyce and staff went WAY beyond to make our stay comfortable and earn a WOW!!!"

Close to the road makes it convenient but a little noisy.

"The location is great -- just 5 minutes to the beach and close to the main cafés and restaurants. The apartment is a good size and has a blackout system, so you don’t get sunlight coming in. The hotel also has two of the best restaurants in town -- Bottega and Plaza -- and they are fantastic."

I was not provided with a tea kettle or a hair dryer, as listed in the room description. Also, you can hear people walking to their rooms and staff talking while cleaning.
