A little further from Mahabodhi temple than other hotels, but still accessible by a 30 min walk or ride in a tuk-tuk which are abundant.

"Very clean property with a wonderful personable host. Had breakfast and dinner at the property and both were very satisfying. Wifi was excellent and the room was very adequate. Has a private parking lot that is secure."

"This is an interesting location...a former grade school, the owners are converting the original structure into a hotel. It is a work in process, and a unique property. The large room has simple yet comfortable beds. At night, total darkness and silence. The thoughtful and hearty breakfast, ( buns/bread/egg, yogurt, assorted mea spreads, orange juice, coffee...) The vintage American rock on the radio. The host is nice and knowledgeable. The antique Swedish prints, the former teachers, the TV area. Get dinner at early/stop at store early...if not you will have dinner at the Circle K :)"

I liked the steep drive down into the valley and equally steep drive back up to the school. But glad it wasn't snowing. I also did not know that it was a former school that was being renovated into a hotel. As such, it was not what I expected. However, after a good night's sleep and a really good breakfast. Accompanied by vintage rock songs on the radio which I had not heard for many years. Conversation with the owner. Took many pictures of the vintage art and photos...I think this was a good Norwegian experience.

"Location is not close to the beach or restaurants so a taxi is required but lovely view from the back garden."

It was very relaxing and as a short stay before a cruise it was perfect especially with all the beautiful peacocks!

"Well, totally different experience from Riga! This place is AWESOME as the staff. The lady who hosted us did a great and PERFECT job. We place is very well located, alogside the road, close to supermarkets and the castle ruins. The city centre can be acessed by a footpath uphill from the hotel on a pleasant walk. Bedrooms alright, very clean and organized with no problems at all. We liked so much, that we spent more time that we intended on the next city in a Wine Festival in Sabile that we decided to go back and stay one more night and with only 10 Euros more, they gave us an apartment with living room and kitchen. I wuosl easily go back and refer here. One of the best places on the trip! The city is not big and have not that much to visit but satying here, made everything much better and pleasant! And parking is right besides the hotel as well with plenty space and easy to use and access!"

"Breakfast and supper were great, and plentiful. Rum punches good. The location was great, surrounded by nature. ( occasional traffic noise). Listened to birds by day, and crickets, frogs , lizards? by night. Staff were informative and friendly. Overall , relaxing place. Need to have a car, otherwise taxi's are expensive, local bus an option, when you can get them. Get to meet other tourists there as well with the communal dining."

The mosquito nets have holes in them. (Cabin 6).

"I had a really lovely stay at this hotel! The property is welcoming, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful from the very first moment, always available without ever being intrusive. My room was bright, spacious, and very quiet — perfect for relaxing after a busy day. "We really enjoyed our stay. The beach in front of the hotel was actually not too crowded with boats and much less people compared to our right and left. Rooms are like shown on the pictures, good value for money. Before 10/11am and after 5pm the day visitors leave and the place gets super quiet. This is the time to enjoy a run on the beach, the nice breakfast & coffee in the morning, and in the evening the sunset and a relaxed dinner."
