"Beautiful small village. Great environment and landscape. Scenery was mesmerizing. Nice room. Lovely decorated. Had all u need in a room. Coffee Tea soap extra pillows etc. Very comfortable bed. Close to RAI trains. Definitely Recommended. Will stay here again next time we visit Amsterdam."

"The location is good. The beds was the best that we had ever slept on, I'm was actually trying to find the manufacturer information on the bed, so that I could buy one. The food was a little expensive, but good. We normally driver down to Abcoude from Germany every few years for a weekend getaway."

"The stairs going up to the room are extremely steep. Once in the room there are two points in the floor you must step-down or step-up depending on what direction you are going."

"Very quiet location. Nice room with oldstyle home decor. Free car parking nearby (just avoid resident spots marked with blue lines). NS train station 15 min walk from the hotel = 10 minutes to Amsterdam center. Did not have hotel breakfast, bought some pastry at supermarket over the street and made tea and cofee using the kettle and cofee maker at the room."

"The room is under roof and does not have AC - was quite hot when we arrived. Fortunately the night was cold and it was very quiet outside so we could leave the windows opened."

"The abbey is conveniently located near the train station of Abcoude which brings you to Amsterdam within 10 minutes. Next to that, the ambiance of the hotel is great, it is quiet and looks beautiful. The beds are comfortable and facilities such as an airco and tv are available. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly."

"Room was very comfortable and well furnished. Handy to have the small kitchenette. Very quaint town and fun to walk around. Having Albert Heijn close by is also very helpful. Recommend the apple dessert with cinnamon ice cream!"

"Very nice rooms, attic lofts, so summer may be warm. We stayed in May, so heat was no issue. Very nice bistro downstairs with very friendly staff, who also handled check-in from the bar area. Rooms had coffeemaker (a few capsules provided), fridge and cutlery. Breakfast served at very nice cafe across the street. Coffee/tea, very large croissant with cheese of jam, plus choice of american style pancakes with fruit or granola and yoghurt. Yummy food -- but coffee was great! Easy connections to both Amsterdam & Utrecht by train at local station. Abcoude is everything a tourist might imagine about a small Dutch town -- criss-crossed by canals and foot paths with more bike traffic than cars. Beautiful historic town."

"The room has two stairs inside, which are well-lit and marked, but could cause problems for small children or people with mobility issues. TV said it was "smart", but only Dutch TV was available. We used an Amazon Fire TV dongle I carry with me, but I don't see how it is possible to log in to accounts, like on most newest TVs. So much for minuses of the Abbey..."

"lovely hotel and in a picture perfect village, staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was so nice we’ve already booked up again for the same time next year. The cafe for breakfast next door is wonderful, the food is the abbey is delicious so are the cocktails"
