"Amazing stay at Chartre Manor, the host Anna-Marie was extreme friendly and a very gracious host. She brought us fresh cheesecake upon arrival in addition to all the amazing fresh and local foods she gave us to enjoy for our breakfasts. It was an incredible spread of food. The accommodation was super clean, cozy and comfortable. The bed felt like a dream (especially after a long flight). Very much felt like a home away from home. They had everything you needed and more to make your stay perfect. Anna-Marie gave us some local recommendations and even brought us a bundle in the evening of a blueberry gin and tonic with their local gin. So delicious and so generous of her. Great and very picturesque hilltop location, easy to navigate to and from. Cannot recommend them enough!"

"We come each year to stay at Chartre Manor, making it our first stop visiting New Zealand. The surroundings are tranquil, the cottage is very comfortable; the bed, the living area, the kitchen facilities. There are many things accessible from here, whether tracks in the forests, going to beaches, or restaurants in town. Above all, Anna-Marie and Johan are exceptionally hospitable. It is easy to feel at home here."

"Everything! Location, amenities, cleanliness, plentiful and diversified breakfast (no way you can eat everything that was provided). The interaction with the our host Anna-Marie was fantastic. She provided valuable information about the Coromandel peninsula. We wish we could’ve stayed longer to take advantage of the place and the surroundings. Thank you very much much!"

"Amazing place with lots of character and charm. They stock you up with so much food and home made goodies :) I would come back just for the home made tiramisu! Lots of space , lovely fireplace, comfortable bed and 30 minutes from the pinnacle hike!"

"A beautifully curated cottage with character and plenty to offer in space and comfort. The self-help breakfast was unbeatable with fresh farm eggs, bacon, cereals, yoghurt, and lots more, supplemented with home-made goodies. The well-stocked kitchen had everything we needed, including a coffee machine. A lovely place to relax and unwind in front of the fire after a long day's drive. The friendly hostess made sure we were comfortable and well-cared for during our 2-night stay. Highly recommended and excellent value - will visit again if we get the chance."
