"Ailay Resort is almost at the end of the beach which makes it particularly quiet; it is as if you are the only one there. Better than most other resorts, almost all bungalows are directly at the beach and have full ocean view, lots of windows, and indoor bathrooms. They are really comfortable and spacious, though not really luxurious or stylish. The owners are really friendly, hospitable, and super accommodating. While the menu is not expansive or fancy, it is really excellent Thai home cooking. The enormously wide 4 km long beach in the bay is most beautiful with white sand, quite clean, ideal for long walks, jogging, yoga, kajaking, and hours in the water - you barely see other people, and no noisy boats or beach bar night life. At night, you only hear the cicadas and the waves of the ocean. During high tide you can snorkel around the reefs and during low tide explore the tide pools."

"Loved our cabins. We stayed in 2 different cabins. Second row 4 days - had great view in between front cabins. Front row 3 days - awesome view - right on beach. Loved this resort. Hosts were awesome. They look after everything for you. Great food. Quiet place. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Hotel is right off the main road so close to a lot of restaurants and shops, solid 15 minute walk to the beach, and 5 minute walk to the bus stop. The room was clean and amenities were provided. The owner was kind and was limited in English but did her best."

"Per and Sirilak's apartment at Kamala Regent is lovely. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided helpful information on request. Very clean, spacious and comfortable apartment and friendly people to deal with. Walking distance to just about everything under 1km. Some local coffee and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. On-site facilities such as pool, restaurant and gym very nice and clean. Security were happy to call a taxi for us when we weren't up for walking. We highly recommend and would absolutely stay again. "The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a short home stay or even longer. Good-sized bedrooms, comfy beds and a nicely set up kitchen. The air conditioner works well. It was lovely to sit on the balcony at night and first thing in the morning and hear the jungle. It is a bit out of the way, so it is quite quiet, which was perfect for us. You will need the use of Grab or hire your own transport to get in and out of Kamala and beyond. The pool was nice and a lovely area to chill out in."
