"An excellent "back in time" experience perfect for 2 nights, the view from my room: the stars at night and the blues of the lake and sky in the bright windy days in October were beautiful. I had most of my meals in the old space-age dining hall—the food was very good!"
"Aucun."
"Breakfast is very simple. We had cheese (regular, of the shop variety), lavash, some vegs and an egg each. It was surprisingly filling, but having been living in Armenia for three years we know and expect a bit more from food. Overall, we got more variety for the same money elsewhere on the second day."
"It's not the fault of the property, but there was loud music in some cafe down on the beach. So to do, you know, some actual writing in the writer house I had to wear headphones instead of just enjoying the quiet."
"Great location on the peninsula and fantastic view of the lake from the balcony of the room. Breakfast was decent. Really interesting architecture, a historical monument to Soviet brutalism with an interesting history."
"Place was a little rundown unfortunately. It has a nice Soviet charm but feels like it could be a much cooler place to stay if it was restored a little bit."
"Such a unique hotel and so historic. While the facilities are tad run down, that all adds to the charm and the location is so perfect. Right be the lake and a short walk up to Sevanavank. There was a writers' conference at the hotel while we were there and it just added to the lovely vibe. I would say, just keep in mind that the hotel is old and hasn't been updated much, but is still quite conformable and very unique."
"A bit dingy in some places but that just added to the historical experience."
"The kind of accomodation I was looking for - from the Soviet era. I like that everything is kept from that period, from the furniture to the bedsheet. I got a suite, it's very spacious and clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. There's a path (shortcut) from the hotel and it leads you to the monastery. Much better taking the shorcut than taking the steps from the town center."
"I liked everything!"
"The vibes are unbeatable. Not a place for everyone but a place with character and atmosphere. I am happy I stayed here. The breakfast was good, too."

"The location is fantastic and the views are gorgeous! The staff welcomed us on arrival and showed us to our rooms. The architecture of this building is indeed unique and worth seeing. It was a very quiet stay and the breakfast was good! We had no issues with parking and overall enjoyed our stay."
"This is a very old and very soviet-style hotel, so keep your expectations low (unless you like retro and enjoyed staying in soviet sanatoriums!). The rooms are small and there's very limited space for shower, in fact it just hangs on the wall with water then being all around the bathroom. The stairs to the rooms are very steep and there's no elevator so probably not the best place for families with lots of luggage and kids."
"To echo comments of others, the chance to stay a night in the historic Sevan Writers' House was wonderful. The views of the lake were super from both the room and restaurant. The gentlemen managing the restaurant and accommodation were polite."
"The room was simple and the bathroom basic but these were as expected. Had the accommodation been thoroughly renovated for the 21st century it would have lost all its charm."
"Wow, what a cool place! If you are into your soviet/brutalism architecture then its well worth the stay. The views from the rooms are amazing and having breakfast overlooking the lake was fantastic. Owners are great too."
"if you are looking for something super modern then this isnt for you."
"Location, architecture, restaurant, and historical relevance - all excellent. Just to say that most reviews are pretty much spot on, all the way from the 1-star to the 5-star ones. Which camp you end up in will depend on how you approach the experience, your personal expectations, and your primary reason for visiting."
"Neglected and dilapidated. In desperate need of sensitive and careful restoration."
