Colleton Great House

"This historical Plantation Mansion has been lovingly restored and the original furnishings and art work intact which is rare. The site on a tall hill of acres of land has a panoramic view of the ocean. The pool is the most beautiful and large pool at any resort I have been, designed for a lap swimmer. The staff treats you like family and the delicious made to order breakfasts over looking the ocean and sailboats is beyond wonderful. Best property I have been to and I travel the world ."

Our hosts Sharon and Hadrian were helpful in every way, we hope to continue our friendship in the future. Sharon is extremely organized and answers every concern one might have promptly. The house, grounds, and meals are top notch. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. A special thanks to the staff Juanza, Sean, and Alise, Vivian, and of course Sharon and Hadrian. "LOVED The Colleton House! Hadrian , Sharon and Vivian made our stay amazing . They are so kind and welcoming , making our stay relaxing and comfortable. The lovely Wanza helped make breakfast special , served on a beautiful veranda, overlooking the sea. The green monkeys were an extra special treat, frolicking poolside! Would love to return!"

"The property is serene and stunning. Sharon and Hadrian are outstanding hosts. We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom cottage and absolutely loved it. It was very spacious, clean as a whistle, large modern bathrooms, comfy beds along with a terrace with gorgeous views."

For a certain type of traveler who likes historic homes this is unbeatable. Great views and parklike grounds round out a great experience."

"The house is located about .2k away from the beach and it is not really walkable. Located away from popular beaches and restaurants which could be a feature but cabs are expensive and it may be best to rent a car. Many cabs are cash only so take cash if you use them for primary transportation. Staff was very helpful in providing reliable cab service and in some cases adding it to hotel charge."

"The hosts welcomed us to the property when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property, while drinking a rum punch. Every morning, we had a wonderful breakfast. The bathrooms are modern and updated and beds very comfortable. They made us feel like we were at home and helped us plan each day for the activities we wanted to do and made dinner reservations for us at the best restaurants."

We were looked after like king & Queen by beautiful Sharon and wonderful Hadrian who organised our restaurants for lunch & dinner including a special lunch on the beach for Christmas.. The breakfast was so cheerful with other guests including the owner who happened to be staying as well.. We loved Ken & his family , the pool , the view , the monkeys & the Hummingbirds who also loved their gardens .."
