"I'd never been to Dhaka before this, so I can't compare it with other hotels. But we were there during a time of upheaval (the start of the student protests and mass flooding) and the people at the hotel handled things extremely well, considering the circumstances. The rooms were clean, the AC worked fine, there's a decent restaurant on the ground floor. There is an ATM right across the street, but you feel like frogger crossing the road."
"People staying in middle floors should know that there is a 'lounge' or 'bar' where a live band plays a couple nights a week. I didn't hear it, but my friend said the day before I got there they were playing into the early hours. The neighborhood seems to be an area with a lot of car mechanics, which means it's mostly men on the streets here."
