"The room was beautiful and right on the harbour. The owners were so lovely and breakfast each morning was great. The location is nice because it is centrally located. I rented a car and it was easy to get anywhere on the island from this location. And a great bed and bath. I would stay here again!"

"Location. While the views from the B&B were spectacular, they were, at the same time, the most inconvenient part of our stay. The water shuttle from the B&B to Hamilton runs very infrequently and the bus stop is a hike. And if you decide to take a cab, be ready to pay a hefty fee. So, getting from the B&B to anyplace else is a challenge."

"Watercolours is a wonderful B&B that is beautifully decorated with many of Carole's watercolor paintings. Our room was spacious with beautiful views of the water. The A/C was a godsend in the humid weather. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit, juice, pastries, yogurt, etc. The saltwater pool was refreshing after a long day of exploring the island."

"The location is not on a bus route, and the nearest bus stop is about a 10 minute walk up hill, which is a challenge in the hot, humid weather. The alternative is to take a taxi, which can get quite expensive. We would have liked a mini-fridge in the room to chill wine or keep leftovers."

"Watercolours is a beautiful property right on a quiet section of the harbor. You can easily step down and jump into the water. Our room was lovely and spacious with a large closet, two desks, armoire with tea and biscuit service, bathroom with tub and shower. The proprietor’s lovely artwork is abundant throughout the home. Breakfast was continental, with coffee, tea, pastries, flavored yogurt, cereals and some fresh fruit."

"While it is walkable to ferry services, you do need a taxi, twizzy, or other form of motorized transport to go anywhere the ferry doesn’t take you, and on at least one occasion the nearest ferry cancelled service and left everyone waiting. Also, the bed was somewhat uncomfortable, a bit soft and small for my 6’4” husband. That, however, was on us as the larger room was already booked."

"The breakfasts were particularly delightful and special and showed a lot of thought in preparation. The tables and set up and dishes were beautiful and the choices of food servings and coffees, teas and fruit were both plentiful and delicious. Everything else- room , property, staff and management first rate."

"I love to swim and was delighted to do so less than 10 ft away from our studio room . Was happy to later find out that the pool was salt water after first swimming in the sea that adjoins your property. I found the ladders very difficult and dangerous to use likely because of my age and physical condition. I had a very difficult time using the steps due to their width and step size. Fortunately I was able to make maximum use of the pool although I would have preferred swimming with the fish. Finally I noticed that others were able to use them with less difficulty so this does not require immediate attention except for tightening the bolts which were also very loose . Next time you remodel or want to replace the ladders I would recommend bigger and wider steps. You will make older people like me extra happy."

"Our stay at Watercolours was amazing! Carol, the host, was accommodating to our dietary needs for breakfast and made sure we felt welcome. The location next to the ferry was great as it made trips to Halmstad extremely easy. If you are on the fence about staying here or at a resort, stay here!"
