"The hotel was situated in the center of Nassau and the hotel had an amazing restaurant and a cool, old vibe about it."
"The pool/garden was not very well taken care of and it seemed as the hotel had seen it's better days"
"Everyone is so friendly and helpful! The restaurant is fantastic and the wine cellar is amazing. It is the perfect experience for a romantic, grown-up vacation (away from the busyness of families with kids at the resorts you'll find in Nassau). They have live music in the lounge every night and offer lots of experiences (cigar rolling, wine tasting, yoga) and the pool/garden area is one of a kind! Absolutely gorgepus , quiet and private! It was definitely pricey, but worth every dollar for the kind of experience one can create if traveling solo or with your significant other."
"It's pricey!! Depends what suite you get, but most do hold their old Victorian feel so be warned there's a lot of "antique everything", like the lamps and wall art. Also, besides dinner and the music in the lounge, the area shuts down pretty early, so if you're looking for late night fun you'll have to make your way to some resort properties (Bahamar, Atlantis, etc)."
"What a wonderful reprieve from “the Bahamas”. Came for a girls long weekend and wanted to avoid rambunctious kids and water parks at all costs. Could not have found a better hotel for relaxing. The restaurant is of course phenomenal (be prepared to pay for the quality though). Graycliff also boasts the third largest wine cellar in the world - definitely worth grabbing a tour of you can. The evening live music is beautiful and well worth silly-dallying for."
"Pool isn’t heated so it was cold in December. The rooms are so quaint but the bathroom could use a slight facelift (though it was clean and full of character, it is an older building.)"
"This is a wonderful old colonial building and hotel with an amazing pool and was a delightful stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful with nothing beeing too much trouble"

"A fascinating living slice of colonial history. It is in a central location and exudes a slightly eccentric old world charm. It is a unique hotel with a unique charm. The staff were generally helpful and friendly."
"Some aspects of the hotel are dated, it is privately owned and the main emphasis on the hotel is its restaurant, hotel guests and facilities seem secondary. The sometimes loud piano playing every evening is not to everyone's taste. The restaurant is good but very expensive."
"Breakfast was simple but sufficient. The meals at lunch and dinner were good but a little more expensive than we expected. The wine costs were exorbitant."
"The hotel is open to guided tours which is off putting when you are a paying guest and relaxing by the pool only to have tour groups ambling around. A suggestion would be to make this for guests of the hotel only."
"Steeped in history, the hotel is an oasis of calm amongst the bustling streets of Nassau. The restaurant and lounge is sophisticated and cool particularly if the pianist is playing. The suites are spacious and comfortable and the outside area is shady by the mosaic pool. The wine choice is exceptional. They have more than 290000 bottles of wine including the oldest known drinkable bottle for sale for $200,000. The owner can tell a tale or two about some of the legends who have stayed there in the past including Paul Newman, Bill Clinton Jay Z and Beyonze, Maria Carey and so on. Legend has it that the famous cigar that Bill Clinton and Monica shared came from here."

"Graycliff is a beautiful historic building with exceptional character, a stunning pool, amazing wine cellar and wonderful helpful staff. It’s also located close to other historic buildings, the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas and the chocolate and cigar tourist attractions. Just a very special Bahamas experience to be treasured."

"Felt like we were living in our own plantation home.. lovely to sit in lounges and by the pool. The restaurant is outstanding Our room was very large and it was nice to sit out on the veranda Staff kept everywhere very clean Lovely piano playing Very helpful, pleasant staff"
"There was road noise … but not so much as to detract from our stay ."
"Possibly the most authentic historical feel of The Bahamas, and you get to live and relax there, not just a museum. The pool has the most opulent “private pool” feel my wife and I have ever experienced. The wine cellar has to be seen to fully understand the scale, breadth and depth of what is clearly a passion that goes beyond economics. This is one of those places that could probably never be recreated, but let’s celebrate they are here right now. With respect and thanks to Mr. Garzoli, family and team lead by the commendably professional “Derek”."

Avis de Alison Sandyport Beach Resort
"The challenges were poor WiFi, and housekeeping - the room during my stay was not cleaned for about two days, and there was no water to be purchased at the hotel."

"The pink sand beach was incredible. Food was excellent as were staff. Our room was awesome. Caught a water taxi from Valentine’s dock back to North Eleuthera which was very convenient."
Avis de Mark Valentines Resort & Marina
"A little piece of paradise! We loved this place. It's not fancy - don't expect five-star amenities; however, it is simply perfect. Our cottage sat right on the beach and we felt we had the entire place to ourselves. The beach is simply stunning and there's loungers and huts on the beach for the residents. Wifi worked great while we were there. Even though there's no cable, we were able to stream from some apps. Beach bar was closed because of slow season, so I can't speak to it, but it's in a very convenient location. Staff were SO nice!! We can't wait to return to this amazing gem of a place!"
