"Nice cabana (Heliconia), with hot water, a little stove, a fridge and other basic necessities. The back balcony to the jungle was amazing. Also, the fresh food made by the chef, Jack, was very tasty and very good priced (cooked on the spot for both breakfast and dinner). The salted water pool was amazing and also eating dinner by the pool and meeting the other travelers was very nice."

"1.Be mindful that you either need to rent a car to get there or call a taxi anytime you need to get to San Ignacio, as this property is off the road, about 15-20 min away from the city. 2. The bed was uncomfortable, not quite the advertised queen size and also the mattress was uneven. Very difficult to sleep, combined with the outside noises from the jungle, which was expected. 3. There's a musty smell in the cabin (this was Heliconia, although it was freshly renovated, we were told). 4. One of the owner dogs was coming up onto the back balcony, startled us a couple of times. And than it grabbed my wife's arm while we waited peacefully for our ride to the airport on the ground, in front of the cabin, we couldn't calm him down. It was scary as nobody was around to help."

"The cabana was well equipped, clean, the bed comfy, good pillows and nice. The swimming pool was clean and nice lounge area. I picked it for the pool table to practice while there. Nice Thor, doggie."

"the bar and food was cash which I did not have enough, and ATM in Roaring Creek, a good distance away, ate my card! Not the bar's fault but did add to stress a bit. Adds another trip to City @ 6 hours driving to retrieve my card once picked up and released by the head bank, protocols....blah blah... I understand bank charges are excessive, however it is the cost of doing business."

"Great spot. Incredibly friendly and fact that owner's son is a trained chef, certainly made breakfast incredible! Plus the cabanas were very comfortable as was the sitting area around the pool. Sadly too chilly to take a dip."

"The location and amenities at Hidden Haven are excellent, especially for the price. Even the nature trail on the property was a gem! The kids loved the pool and pool table too, and the food at Jack's Shack is awesome! Such a great deal and great experience!"

"Secluded with gorgeous garden and pool area which was welcomed after spending the day out exploring Staff are friendly and very helpful with planning activities and onward travel. Great internet access and Jack's Shack provided many a cold beer."

"The cabins are not well insulated with 1 air conditioner to cool things down. However we stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin which would have been cooler without the dividing walls 1 room was much cooler than the other however there was also a fan (if we came again we would stay in the family room which looks more open)."

"Very Beautiful property in a great jungle location for the activities we wanted to do ( ATM Cave Tour and Xunatunich). Very nice, well maintained, jungle nature trails on the property to take a little stroll or go a little further. Pool was refreshing and clean. Nice little inexpensive bar/restaurant onsite. Room had a mini fridge, sink, coffee pot, and 2 burners with pots/pans/dishes. Deck had two hammocks and four patio chairs, wonderful for enjoying the nature sounds and jungle view. Beds were comfortable. Shower was nice and hot ( or whatever temp you want). Billiards table and Dart board"

"The bedrooms in the 2 bedroom are super small ( queen beds takes up about 80% of the rooms) and dont have any storage except some hooks on the back on the door. Wall dividing the 2 bedrooms does not go all the way to ceiling- gives you visual privacy, but no sound privacy. Some maintenance issues, but owner addressed once notified."

"This place is a bit hidden but it’s a gem. We loved the cabin and it has everything we needed to make a home cook meal. The food at the restaurant here is yummy."
