"Such a pretty place and beautiful inside and out. Great covered porches to relax outside. Very quaint and peaceful. Owners, Sandy and Keith were great hosts. Sandy make an awesome breakfast, a strawberry puff pancake…was so delicious and the cherry juice was so tasty. Ate breakfast in the formal dining room and met two other couples from Toronto and New Jersey, had great conversations. Very spacious room and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and plush bedding. Wineries and vineyards just a short drive away. Only stayed one nite on our way home after a week long vacation in cape cod. Can’t wait to come back and stay longer. Will definitely stay at the Red Coat again."

"The location of the property is excellent for viewing the Aurora Borealis as it is located on the shore of Great Slave Lake which provides ample open space when the lake is frozen in the winter for a great viewing experience. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and well heated, a plus for a winter visit like ours.. Ben, the substitute on-site manager was extremely helpful during our stay. Yellowknife is a wonderful small town to visit and enjoy during the winter"
