"The comfort of the bed - Touchstone wins the pillows sweepstakes with 6; quite plush towels and bed linens; and a wonderful view of the lake. Although we spent just 1 night, we noted that there were all the items one would need to spend long periods of time, i.e fridge, toaster, microwave, dishes, cutlery, coffee maker, etc."

"That the large Touchstone signs were completely snow covered, thereby hidden. Especially once it got dark, finding the entrance, especially for first time visitors, was difficult."

"Stayed over New Year’s 2025/26, with a family of 9. Booked a 3 bedroom villa and a 1 bedroom apartment in the beach section . Both rooms were fantastic with incredible unobstructed views of the lake, plus large living and dining rooms with full kitchens. Both also had fireplaces and plenty of space for our family. Everything worked perfectly including the wifi, TV’s, hot water and heating system ( which was required this time of year ). The accommodation was sparkling clean and we cooked breakfast and lunch daily and dinner one night ( went out the other 2 nights ). We participated in all of the on site activities including snowshoeing, outdoor hot tub, indoor steam room/sauna , exercise room ( 2 treadmills ), and the outdoor camp fire. We also went outdoor skating in town, as the lake wasn’t fully frozen yet. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful in giving us information on the local area. We did not request daily room service and never missed it."

"We knew before arrival that there was no breakfast, and that the restaurant was closed for the holidays and only open for New Year’s Eve dinner ( a very nice gourmet event which we reserved ). We were okay with making our own meals but if you prefer restaurant services, a short drive to Bracebridge has a very nice collection of dining options. Also the spa was completely booked in advance but we were not surprised nor disappointed about this. There really was nothing that we didn’t like about the property and since we had the above mentioned information, the property actually exceeded our expectations."

"The view from our room was stunning. The restaurant food was amazing! Very peaceful resort. Not alot to do in the Fall ... would have been nice to have an indoor pool but other than that the room was perfect!"

"We had an excellent, relaxing time ... only issue was that I wanted to book a massage and nothing was available. We checked in at 3:00 and went straight to the spa to check availability. The person at the front desk said there was no availability that day and that they closed at 5:00. There didn't seem to be anyone in any of the rooms at that time, all rooms' doors were open and no one was inside. Since there was still 2 hours til close, we wondered why we couldn't be booked within those 2 hours but he said "no, we don't have anything available and we're closed on Sundays and Mondays", I thought it was strange that it would be closed on a sunday being that most people book getaways on weekends. Maybe just a little suggestion would be to have the spa open on Sundays for those would check in on Saturday and only stay for the night."

"Didn’t like all the stairs , didn’t like the lack of staff available. Didn’t like no information book on what the premises have to offer. Water tasted off. Water was yellowish in the bathtub."

"Loved the 2 bedroom Lakeview room. Extremely clean inside. Very comfortable beds! Kitchen has everything you need. Also, nice to have a washer and dryer. View was absolutely amazing!! Infinity pool was awesome! Also, great exercise room! Loved going to the spa for a facial. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Sitting down by the Lake was beautiful and peaceful. Restaurant, Touchstone Grill, was AMAZING! Food was absolutely wonderful!!"

"I was a bit bummed that the pool by the lake was closed. Outside patio areas attached to villas needed to be power washed. Would have liked to see Bob's Boathouse bar open. It looked a bit abandoned."
