Guest reviews for Cabañas Manuto

Larocco - 22/03/2024 03:48:49

"The hosts are excellent, friendly, and very helpful. The location is close enough to the center of town but far enough away for peace and quiet. I would return."

"Aucun."

"Manuto was an excellent guide of the island and was very helpful"

"Our Spanish is terrible/non-existent, however the staff worked really hard to understand us. Greatly appreciated."

"Rooms are a little "tired", I'd imagine getting tradesmen and building supplies would be costly though."

Olga - 09/01/2025 14:36:45

"It was perfect! Angelica meet us at the airport and drove us to the property while explaining us things about the island and showing us main places in Hanga Roa. Manuto was our guide to explore the island during two full days and the experience was incredible. He is rapa nui and explained us many things about rapa nui culture and how life was there when he was young. You can feel he definitely loves sharing what he knows!"

"Cabañas Manuto is a typical no frills experience on the island. It has flexible sleeping options allowing for at least 8 people to stay comfortably in beds. There is a basic kitchen with gas stove, sink and plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. There is also a large dining table and a modern, cavernous fridge/freezer. The view from the upstairs balcony across Hanga Roa to the sea can be enjoyed in warmer weather. The shower is effective and warm. The host Señor Manuto is very friendly and helpful, as are the various other staff members who man the office. The location is far enough out of town that it is a bit quieter and residential, but still an easy walk to the shopping and dining areas, local Moai and not forgetting turtles!"

"Nothing that would stop me staying there again, but be prepared for: car parking congestion; the gas oven regulator switches off until it is warmed up; once three people have had showers you will need to wait a few minutes for hot water. Oh, and noise from cockerels and dog fights overnight, but these are a general feature of Hanga Roa."

"Manuto and his wife are very helpful and kind - they picked and dropped us at the airport, Manuto was always very punctual and took us around on different tours (even some last minute ones). Sometimes he would also drop us somewhere and then set a time to pick us up. The cabaña is very good for the standards of the island, it has everything you may need to feel at home and all works very well. Also, value for money is very good compared to most of the other lodges. The environment is very nice, deep in nature and with the lovely company of well behaved animals: chickens, cats and dogs. We totally recommend this stay and will surely rebook when we get back to the island! Maururu, Manuto 🌺 🗿"

"Since covid, it's obligatory to have a guide (or just a local accompanying you) on most of the visiting sites of the island, so the tour prices may be salty... On the other hand, it is good to preserve the island from a tourist takeover and to help the local community. Cockroaches are a huge population on the island and they come out in great numbers at night! You can't avoid it... However, at the Cabañas we always kept windows and doors closed at night and had only two coming inside over a week's stay. The location is very good, we could get to the center on foot very easily and it was very convenient for us. However it is about a 20min walk, which may be a problem for some people..."

"It was a perfect place for our family of 6, with all the necessities, and Manuto is so very nice and welcoming! We loved our stay on Rapa Nui, we felt at home! :)"

"A couple of fans for the heat would be nice :)"

"La ubicación muy buena, la disposición de los anfitriones excelente"

"Creo que como algo a mejorar para que este al 100% es la limpieza al entregar la cabaña"

"The host is lovely and helped me a lot! Also with agencies of attractions and with laundry."

Avis de Eilon Hostal Maitahue

"Our room was gorgeous. Clean, and bright, spacious. From the moment we entered, I wanted to stay an extra night - and so that is what we did! Our room had a gorgeous balcony with an absolutely spectacular view of Valparaiso. We enjoyed sitting there and taking in both the sunrise and the sunset."

"The inn with many antique objects is very beautiful"

"Can’t say enough good things about the stuff, very friendly and great suggestions."

"Nice location, clean, staff was friendly. I will stay there again."

Avis de Margarita Cabañas Aires del Bosque

"The location was next to the Manuel Montt metro station and very convenient to get around. The neighborhood had many restaurants and shops, including grocery store close by. Starbucks about a block away. The pictures were accurate. Nice size for 2 people and balcony a bonus to sit on having coffee or watching sunset."

"The location is great, close to Lago Llanquile, volcan Orsono, Lago Todos los santos... Very nice area for trekking. The place was very nice and convenient. Wood was ready for the fire place. The host was very helpful and reactive as we had no hot water at the beginning. Highly recommended."

Avis de Karine Cabañas Anulen

"One of our favourite stays of our holiday. A little oasis out of the dusty village streets. Super clean, great design. Very quiet and comfy beds. Super shower. The breakfast was remarkable. The staff well trained and friendly. Very well located. Great value too even though that was not the driver. We stayed 4 nights and loved it !!"

"This was our starting spot for a roadtrip, and it worked out perfectly - an hour drive from Temuco airport. Carlos was very welcoming for our group!"
