"I got confusing message when I made last min booking which caused unnecessary stress. They charge 20% more for debit card payment and they asked for some paper that I'm supposed to receive when I entered Chile. Then the terminal rejected two of my cards that I used without any issue while traveling around Chile for weeks. Host lady made some weird comment, repeating twice that is forbidden to bring anyone in. I guess that's because I'm solo female traveler. I didn't hear her saying that to couples and groups. There was no towels. So it's definitely overpriced for what you get."

"Room is basic but clean, hot water yes, Wi-Fi works well ~ Location it a block from the main drag so quieter, but lots'a restaurants nearby ~ Big well-equipped communal kitchen, funky-cool common areas, all clean and maintained ~ Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more casual-professional ~ Eco-conscious, i.e. recycling and solar ~ They'll do laundry, BIG basket full for 10,000, you hang it yourself ~ We quite liked the place and recommend it ~"

"Hostal Sonchek definitely is your best cost-benefit option in San Pedro de Atacama. It is lass than 100 meters from Caracoles, the main street, and the rooms and services are very good at a very attractive price. Florencia is a differential from the hostal, making every interaction with the employees just perfect. Also the owners are very nice and kindness, always ready for help and provide assistance when needed. Despite you can not bring visitors inside the hostal, there is many great common areas that you can enjoy with the others guests - as a very good kitchen with teas, coffee and free coca leafs. The cleaness are very good dispite everything is very simple. Super recommend this place and also I will be back again as an guest anytime I visit Atacama. Thank you for everything!"

"The location is right in the middle of everything, however not noisy at night. The owner and staff are always willing to help and offered useful guidance on places to visit. The room and bed were very comfortable."
