"Watching and listening to the birds in late afternoon, and the next morning on the front porch. Listening to the bird symphony before sunrise from bed. Wonderful dinner and breakfast served by the host, Judy. Meeting her charming daughter Angie. The little cabin is very comfortable. Shower is hot as long as the pressure is low. This stay deserves more than 5 stars."
"A few cautions: The gravel road to EYA is OMG steep up and down, over many km. On the way out in the morning our SUV had trouble climbing a few hills, even in low gear. There are no restaraunts in the area. Judy offered to prepare dinner for us. It turned out to be 2/3 the cost of the room. Surprisingly expensive, and she does not accept credit card. The area is in the cloud forest and dew fall overnight made every surface in our room damp. Zip clothes into suitcases to keep them dry."
"Beautiful location, incredible food, and wonderful people. I highly recommend EYA Natural Tourism"

"Our 3-night stay at the only one basic but tasteful cabin of EYA Ecolodge felt like a real privilege. This ‘off the beaten track’ location gave us a real authentic Costa Rican experience. After the challenge of the unpaved mountain access road (try to be there before dark!), we found ourselves in a tranquil large farm garden with very diverse flowers, trees, crops and birds alike. Run by a very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable family of three, this place is a secret heaven for lovers of nature and birds. Every meal (breakfast/dinner) was a prepared by Yuri with love and creativity and was a surprise feast for the eye and stomach. Esteban’s knowledge of the local bird species and his crops (mainly cocoa, coffee), gave an extra dimension to our visit. The conversations with the whole family, including daughter Abby, are unforgettable. As a bird photographer myself, I highly recommend this hidden gem to all birders."

"Absolutely quiet and peaceful place surrounded by nature, trees, birds, the river. A beautifully designed cabin with a large, cozy bed. Incredibly welcoming and friendly hosts and the best food we had in Costa Rica, authentic, nicely presented and very delicious."

"We loved everything! Estabano and Yuri were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. They were extremely knowledgeable on the local plant and animal life - we learnt so much! They took us on a local sugar cane tour, a hike to see a local waterfall, to see the sunset and so many more trips - they really made us feel like part of the family. The food was phenomenal - some of the best food we have ever had!"
"Nothing - we loved everything."
"Our stay at EYA Ecolodge was very special. The property is located in a rural area accessed via a gravel road (4x4 recommended). We stayed in a comfortable bungalow on Estevan's small Eco farm . We had a comfortable bed, and privately positioned terrace. It was a lovely quiet and peaceful location with a beautiful garden full of colourful birds, including toucans and hummingbirds and many large butterflies. Estevan is very knowledgeable about the area and generously offered his time to show us around, and took us to a lovely fresh waterfall where we could swim We enjoyed fantastic homecooked breakfasts and dinners. Our stay at Eya Ecolodge made a perfect relaxed start to our trip to Costa Rica. The genuine level of welcome and comfort made feel more like we were staying with friends or family. A really authentic stay with no other tourists around. We wished we could have stayed longer and we certainly hope to return."

"Guesthouse EYA was one of our most unique and memorable experiences in Costa Rica. The property is located in a rural community accessible by a gravel road (4x4 highly recommended). Juri and Estevan run a small sustainable farm and offer a cabin with a comfortable bed, private bathroom and terrace. They also offer a variety of tours in the area and on the farm itself. We booked the chocolate tour, which was fascinating and very engaging. Estevan is very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and is also a great wine/chocolate maker. We also enjoyed fantastic breakfasts, lunches and dinners. We would highly recomm end Eya if your looking for a comfortable bed in the Garden of Eden off the beaten track. Thank you Estavan and Yuri for a wonderful experience!"

"Lovely views, nice kitchen and modern furnishings."
"Modern, clean room with a comfortable bed and large bathroom with jacuzzi tub for two! Table for eating inside with a balcony outside to enjoy the views. Refrigerator and coffee in room. We stayed here to experience Volcan Turrialba. Our host Nathalie was very lovely and very informative. She was so helpful she even ordered food in for us after our hike."
"The location near La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Poas Volcano was perfect. The cabin was modern with anything and everything you would want in the kitchen. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of comforters and blankets and pillows (high grade). No air conditioning is needed. It gets very cool at night you actually need to use the space heater provided. The shower has great water good water pressure and hot water. We were provided with a very delicious breakfast each morning brought to our cabin. The cabin was an excellent stay and a great value. The owner despite being out of town meeting a new grandchild communicated with us several times whenever we had questions and gave us great recommendations on places to eat that made our stay extra special."

"I stayed only one day, but everything was great. Cabana was in the middle of garden with a lot of birds in the morning. It was clean, spacious, nice, with air-con for good price. And Jorge was very friendly and helpful with everything. 100%!"
"It was perfect and had everything you need. Maybe a closer would be useful but apart from that, all great"
"This was such a great space and I had a few more days to book an Uvita and re-booked here. Awesome atmosphere, fair price, quiet, and all the workers and people there were super kind. Great space ! Loved that each room had a back patio and only 4 to a room was really nice too. Thank you!"
