Drake Bay Sunset Lodge it’s situated in a family property, surrounded by nature, just 5 minutes walking up the hill overlooking the ocean. Free private parking is available down the hill, in front of the beach. The property features ecologically-built wooden bungalows furnished with handmade rustic furniture. All with private bathroom and a balcony. Tours to Corcovado National Park, where you can take advantage of the wildlife. You can too go whale and dolphin watching, as well as snorkel and diving at Caño Island. Private activities such as horseback riding tours, kayak tours, Night tours, hike to Rio Claro (ecological reserve), and hike to our private property (waterfalls and wildlife) can be arranged. Drake Bay Airport is 25 minutes away by car, 1 hour boat ride from Sierpe, Osa. San José is approximately 217 mi away.

"Stunning view, and we absolutely loved the pool. Simple and super clean accommodation, it had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. There were birds all around the property – hummingbirds, toucans, macaws, motmots – so cool. Great breakfast, lovely management, would stay here again!"
"Note that it is a bit out of town, and there is a hike up to the rooms. It was about a 15 minute walk down to the boat launches at the main beach. It's not a problem, per se, but certainly something to know before booking if you have any mobility issues or injuries!"

"Beautiful setting. The cabins are simple but have everything you need. A supermarket is nearby for water, beer, and basic things. I was worried it would be too hot to sleep at night, but the overhead and floor fans cooled it off nicely. They make a nice breakfast. Order it the day before. Someone comes in early to cook. The regular "family" wasn't there during our stay. Communication wasn't as strong. We somehow got on the wrong boat to Corcovado, but it turned out ok in the end. Overall, a great stay."

"Modern, clean room with a comfortable bed and large bathroom with jacuzzi tub for two! Table for eating inside with a balcony outside to enjoy the views. Refrigerator and coffee in room. We stayed here to experience Volcan Turrialba. Our host Nathalie was very lovely and very informative. She was so helpful she even ordered food in for us after our hike."
"The location near La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Poas Volcano was perfect. The cabin was modern with anything and everything you would want in the kitchen. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of comforters and blankets and pillows (high grade). No air conditioning is needed. It gets very cool at night you actually need to use the space heater provided. The shower has great water good water pressure and hot water. We were provided with a very delicious breakfast each morning brought to our cabin. The cabin was an excellent stay and a great value. The owner despite being out of town meeting a new grandchild communicated with us several times whenever we had questions and gave us great recommendations on places to eat that made our stay extra special."
