"This spot was a great value for our 1 night in the San Jose area! The room was basic but comfortable and had a nice view of the garden. Breakfast was oustanding and the location is in walking distance to some lovely dinner options."

"We had a great stay, Otto is the nicest host and made sure we had everything we needed. He was very accommodating to all the weird requests we had. Beautiful house, an easy walk to so many good restaurants. Cozy bedroom where I slept like a rock."

"We stayed for one night at the beginning and end of our Costa Rican trip. Very nice residential, family owned boutique hotel conveniently located to the SJO airport. Rooms were spacious and clean. The open air lounge / breakfast area provided wonderful opportunities for seeing and hearing birds while taking in the wonderful landscaping. Breakfast was freshly prepared and very tasty. "Wow!! This place is much better than I expected. These cabins are adorable! Our room and bathroom were large, modern, clean and comfortable. They are very well-built with beautiful craftsmanship. The grounds are immaculate. We did not have time to do hike their walking trail but if I were to stay in La Fortuna again, I would definitely stay here and do that. Breakfast was very good. Every breakfast place serves rice and black beans, but these were exceptional!! They were the best we had in our travels in Costa Rica. They add a herb that is unique to the La Fortuna area that is related to the coriander (cilantro) family. It was delicious and gave the meal more of a "local" vibe. The view of the volcano from the property is amazing!! It's right in front of you! I wish we had stayed for a few more days. The price was very good."

"Christina was so good to us. She drove through busy traffic to pick us up at airport. As it was late, she called in for a pizza for us. Her breakfast next morning was good and she called an uber to take us to the airport as she couldn't leave with more people coming and going. She is a one woman show and she does with grace and kindness."
