"Carla is like a family to us! She is so hospitable and gave us lots of useful recommendations on food, tour and transport etc. Her place is filled with the wonderful artworks by her and we really enjoyed spending time on her veranda. Claudia’s breakfast was great as well! Her place is centrally located and it’s so quiet at night other than the relaxing sound from the rainforest. Highly recommend her place to anyone who wants to feel like staying with a welcoming family member."

"If I were the Michelin commissioner, I would award Happy Villa with three stars: Worth for an independent tour. This place has everything, plus your host will make you feel at home. Our stay was simply too short to enjoy all the options this accommodation offers. It is also positioned well for island exploration. Oh, and not mentioning superb breakfast starting with a healthy shot. You will be in good hands and with a full stack of options for every day of exploration of charming Dominica."

And when, after a magnificent day in the mountains, you return to the villa, and Carla offers you her infamous rum punch, sit down and listen to the her vibrant stories of an amazing family history on this most beautiful of eastern Caribbean islands."
