"The place is very comfortable, clean, quiet, and safe. It has a spacious kitchen and a good size bathroom with steady hot water. It is surrounded by nature, hummingbirds and it has a wonderful view of the Mandango mountain."

"It is around 15 min walking distance to downtown, but you can take a taxi for $1.75 if you don't want to walk."

"Alpha House is rustic, clean, and comfortable. We are able bodied, so walking uphill on unpaved roads was not an issue, and we enjoyed being out of the center on foot, though taxis were always available. Our hosts were superb from the moment we were greeted upon arrival. 100% non-smoking, scent-free, scent sensitive, fully screened, and quiet. This is not a hotel; with the ability to relax and cook, Alpha House is a great choice for stays of a week or longer."

"It was a nice unit but no windows with a view. It was further from town than I thought it would be. Otherwise it was perfect."

"The hosts were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. There are 4 rental units, all different. We were originally booked into one that was very nice but with no view and asked if we could change. They switched us to an upper unit with incredible 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. The property is an easy walk from town but is up a hill so it feels rural and the views!! We also appreciated the use of the washing machine."

"Beautiful studio with comfortable KING bed. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and eat at home, or it is a 12 minute walk to town, downhill. The property has fruit trees and laundry facilities. The shower was hot and had good water pressure and the wifi was fast. The hosts were on site and were good at communicating and helping when needed."

"If you walk to town, it is an uphill walk back, or you can take a taxi. We walked every time."

"I love the grounds and the room was so well put together. It's a little fully functioning apartment. Wifi, tv, Netflix, drinkable water and so very quiet. Access to a washer and dryer was so convenient. This place is a shear gem. The host, Richard, is so accommodating"

"Daniel has a pet cat and she is very friendly and affectionate. As a cat lover this was a bonus. Daniel's cat does not impose upon people, but if you like cats she will come to you. The accommodation was very clean."
