"The owner, Oswaldo, was wonderfully courteous and helped me with so many little things during my trip. He is a considerate, knowledgeable man and was willing to ask any questions I had and even drove me once to see some birds at a local spot when he had some free time. Part of his property in development with multiple stories next to the rooms offers the highest vantage point in Mindo for great views of the city. The rooms were very clean, and the hostal is perfectly located close to the city center and within walking distance of pretty much everything you would want to access in Mindo. The hostal has a nice central area with a garden and attached cafe where Oswaldo made breakfast each day."

"The place it's better than the pictures. The kitchen has everything to cook an entire meal (breakfast, lunch, whatever). The bed and the pillows are very comfortable. The TV has local channels and internet so you can access Youtube or Netflix with your account. The internet connection is more than enough for work. You can find many things to do in the area, there are a lot of restaurants, several malls and Carolina Park. The Ecovia is one block away; that takes you to old town which its beautiful to visit. The view from the top of the building it's something you shouldn't miss"

"We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming—she arranged transportation to pick us up from Quito and provided detailed information and recommendations for tours in Mindo. We truly felt at home. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and you can spot so many birds right from the lobby area. We’ll definitely be coming back next time!"

"My hosts, Octavio and Yolanda were just the best; kind, friendly, and out to make my trip the best possible experience. My room was a cabana down the hill from the street so it was very private and very quiet. (If you book the cheapest option, those cabanas are abutting the busy road, so you will get vehicle noise.) I had a balcony with beautiful views (see photos) and a futon which I could sit at and watch the many birds that visit the property. The room had plenty of lighting and expansive windows. Octavio was willing to bring me to places that were of interest (at a much reduced cost than a taxi). I was there for the birding and they took me to La Vida de Kinde for that; also to a ranch to hike a waterfall and provided me with many options for my own hiking and birding. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruits and eggs. Other meals could be provided if you asked in advance. They operate a pizzeria and I had the Vege Pizza twice - delicious!"
