Nile Compound

"The location was quiet and calm compared to the East bank of the Nile, which is where the city is. The view from the roof top was great, you can see the east bank with the Nile, and also you can see the hot air balloons going up in the morning. The staff were attentive and were very polite, the property was spacious and clean, and the front gate was closed and locked so that felt safe too. They can also arrange day tours for you as well as cars to the ferry port, airport, which was very helpful! They also have a lot of cats running around, which is very cute."

"The shower went cold for a couple of hours, but if you let the manager know they will check the heat g for you and it should get hot again."

"1. The location next to the nile on the west bank - calm and peaceful 2. The property itself is really well designed and well maintained - nice pool area with nice roof tops and big gardens. 3. The owners Mr Mahmoud and his wife Elsa - they added a personal touch to make our stay very comfortable. 4. The staff - kind and helpful."

"Great place to stay while in Luxor West Bank. The grounds and gardens are lovely and the pool is a welcome respite after being out on tours siteseeing. The staff are excellent and always go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. The owners Mahmoud and Ilse treat all guests as if they were family."

"The terrace is super cool but it was a bit dirty when I stayed , I wish we could dine on the terrace."

"Good breakfast, incredible staff (kind, helpful, attentive, patient), refreshing pool. Property is like an oasis. If you're looking for a place to stay that's not in the chaos of the city, this is it! Since more of the things we wanted to do (Valley of Kings, of Queens, of Nobles, of Artisans, Temples, Memnon, Ballon rides) were on the West Bank, and because we wanted quietness, this was the perfect spot for us. Taxis can be arranged by the staff to get you to the East Bank activities as well."

"The ONLY thing that was not incredible for us was the WiFi. Both my phone and computer had consistent issues connecting."

"The room was very spacious, and all necessities for a comfortable stay were there , i.e. water kettle with tea and coffee bags, hair dryer, heater, extra blanket. Breakfast was satisfactory and the Omelette eggs actually very good an all the other items were well presented . The garden seating was really great, very nicely set up and cozy with wood sofas I wanted to sit all day on and not move."

"As I had lunch a couple of times, I noticed that not all items mentioned on the menu were actually available, which was a bit upsetting. Also, when ordering a dish which was available and quite good , and I decided to order again, it did not contain a vegetable pot with chicken , as mentioned in the menu, but only potatoes and chicken. Obviously, this was the only thing available to be put in the dish. Therefore, I believe , that there should be more supervision on what is served as per the menu for lunch or dinner."

"The actual hotel grounds were nice. Great views from the roof, a nice pool to sit around, rooms were large, good was good. Also the staff was very friendly, especially Mohamed."

"The main negative is the location. It is far away and down a small and bumpy road. This made it such that you couldn't really come and go. Once you we're back from a tour, you just stayed. There is also no sign out front so you aren't sure you are in the right place and it makes it hard for taxis and tours to find you. The other thing is the room was cold (December). Although they did find us a heater for the second night so that helped. Lastly the pillows and mattress were not the best."

"The property is in a calm village on west bank of nile river. But the picture of terrace is misleading there is lot of construction came up and blocking the farm and nile river view. Mohsin as manager was good in responding to my queries. Restaurant staff are the best people in hospitality."

"Hi, the guest-house located on the West Bank of Luxor City, and in looks like urban side, so it's a quite enough for relax, the house decoration is cute, and staff are so kind and helpful, the owners are so much kind too."

"To reach the location you need a private car or Taxi, from the nature of the place (Farms) the mosquito are so much but the management from time to time spraying anti-mosquito chemicals, and finally the Wi-Fi is not stable at all."
