"Great place to stay on elephantine island. Very close to ferry dock on island. Rooms big and spacious. Nice terrace as well."

"Best place in Elephant Island and very comfortable to stay, the host is amazingly friendly and suggestible. Besides the residents over here are neighborly, I think stay in this inland is more safe than east bank. I love this island and this homestay.😄"

"The property is exactly what it claims to be - clean, comfortable and located just off the ferry stop. The family that looked after the place was very supportive and went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable."

"Authentic small property on Elephantine Island. Steps from the public ferry. Fantastic view of Aswan. Host also arranged transportation to the airport for us. Great communication via whatsapp."
"There is no elevator; dirt path to the property … might not be suitable for all travelers"
"I had an amazing 2 days stay at Nuba Dool. I first wanted to stay in Elephantine Island to be far from the chaos of Aswan and Nuba Dool completely fulfilled my needs as it is quiet with friendly and very helpful people. Also the ferry to Elephantine Island is easy to get and it is just EGP15. I could relax in the mornings watching the sunset and drinking a coffee. I definitely recommend Nuba Dool."

"Baraka Camp is a place of friendship, relaxation, and beauty. I spent a week here on my own as a solo female traveller, and had a wonderful time. I felt completely safe and met lovely other travellers both from Israel, Egypt and Jordan. The staff is most hospitable and helpful, and always come with a good attitude. The food is tasty, and better than many places around, they make the effort to even plate the dishes beautifully. The beach is sandy, but to get into the water, you have to walk on a soft flat rocky area that leads to the drop off where you can go snorkelling. Unfortunately, the reef around South Sinai seems to be suffering in recent years, but they are still fish and corals. The bungalows are new, with a new clean bathrooms, and have hammocks at the front. You get clean bedlinen, and nice blanket, and all the electricity works! I will definitely be back!"

"Amir Palace Hotel is located in a working-class neighborhood near the station. I’m the side streets there are all kind of small shops and market stalls. The staff of the hotel do not speak English very well, but they are friendly and helpful. They arranged for me to travel to Abydos by taxi and with a translator to visit the famous Temple of king Seti I and the 5,000 year old enclosure of king Khasekhemwy."
