"Beautiful building, good facilities and great location"

"The walls are very thin upstairs ans there is no curtains. Sleeping mask and earplugs are a must!"

"The best thing about this hostel is it's location on Suomenlinna. If you want to take an amazing evening ferry to see the sunset over Helsinki and then take a morning walk and look at the endless sea horizon, then I strongly recommend to stay overnight in this hostel. The hostel has quite big common space where you can eat your food or just relax after a long day with some coffee or tea (for free)."

"Well, it's a hostel anyway and you never know who your neighbours will be. Unfortunately, I was a bit unlucky and there was a person who snored very loud during the whole night. I think that person was the only one who was sleeping in our room😅 So for future travelers, I strongly recommend taking ear plugs and a sleeping mask (or the hostel maybe could provide that in the future). The hostel maybe could also consider installing bigger refrigerators in the future because I barely had any space to store my food. Otherwise, everything was good. Thank you:)"

"Great atmosphere, everything that I needed for a sleepover. Nice to have tea available all the time in a common room. Bathrooms very clean and colorful:) But the island location by the ferry is the best."

"It's pretty easy getting to the island and back (24 hr ticket = 9 euros) as they go frequently. The late check-in could be an issue for some if you arrive early, but you can still leave your bags in the hostel and explore the island fortress before you get your bed. The two women who worked the reception during my stay was super helpful, cool and energetic in their own unique way! The common room is kind of like a dining hall but still very open and inviting. Also, just outside the hostel you can hang out by the water, watch the sunset while having some beers if you'd like, so beautiful!"

"We liked the cozy rooms, we loved all the details made with love and how clean and beautiful it was. We also liked how warm the staff is, very attentive and friendly. The bed was also comfortable, we booked for the double bed room and it was beautiful and huge. The common room is also huge, with a tv, books and board games. It was our first time at this hostel, just one night, but after this experience in this beautiful island, we will book more days next time (i hope sooner than later) See you soon!! 😍"

"I very much liked the silence, it was very relaxing (but this may mainly due because I visited during low tourism season). It was very confortable, there are also many small but important commodities like books, a tv, society games, plants and posters, info about places to visit. The tap water is good to drink. The place was also well heated."

"It is such a privilege to stay on the beautiful islands of Suomenlinna. For the history, architecture, and natural beauty (plus getting to take the ferry from market square) ... this is by far the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at. Beautiful old school building, very clean and well maintained, great communal spaces, although I will admit that a lot of the plus side is that the 8 person room had only 1 other person 2 of the nights and I was by myself one night ... I have no idea what this place is like during tourist season!"
