Small Paradise

"Very nice property, spacious, nicely decorated and super clean. Very good kitchen. We had everything needed for the two nights of stay. We were supplied with many kinds of seasoning, including even cooking oil, rice and flour! Even though we did not use it, it also has washer. Parking right outside and has a nice court yard to enjoy if the weather is good. Walking distance to ferry. Strongly recommended."

"The host was great and even gave ma a ride to the airport as the first bus did not stop at the airport. Otherwise the location is great and the bus stop is right i front of the property and 5 minutes waling from the harbour which is a meeting point for multiple hikes and of course the ferry. Heat was fantastic and totally silent heater/AC. Place was so well equipped as a full apt. It's in a beautiful location right by the beach - there is a beautiful back yard. Beds are comfortable. It's brand new and all you need. I would call it a big paradise."

"Cottage is a fully detached building at the rear of the owners residence but with its own access off the street so is very private and patking available outside. Well equipped with washine machine and dishwasher."

"the bedroom is a loft accessed by a vertical ladder, with matresses on the loft floor. We are fit 60yr olds and managed ok but this accommodation is not suited to anyone who is not agile."

"This was a great and affordable find. Location couldn't have been better for exploring the west side of the Faroes and I liked having the independence to come and go in a mini-cabin with all my needs met. The pictures matched what I had in person and the place was incredibly clean. The host was kind and easy to communicate with ahead of time. Parking was easy and right in front of the house."

"It really bothered me that the owner deals in cash only. I have never encountered this before at a stay and tried to discuss other payment options with the owner ahead of arrival. The Faroes is a cashless society which is super easy and convenient for international travelers. Heck, even hiking trails in the middle of nowhere have touch / tap payment for access. Over my 11 day stay, this is seriously the **ONLY** place I needed physical cash. It is a hassle and costly to find an ATM in a foreign country and not to mention the safety risk of carrying that amount of cash, There is no reason that in today's technologically inclined society, the owner couldn't find a way to accept some form of electronic payment to streamline operations and make it safer and more convenient for guests. And one small nit - Although I liked the idea of the loft (how cool I thought, it would be fun I thought), in reality I didn't like it in the middle of the night or early in the morning. It is certainly a great use of space but when I was groggy, the ladder was a definite risk. This is not a reflection of the owner or the place, just question yourself whether this might be something you could struggle with..."

"The cosy little house, the wide green garden, the welcoming host, the ideal location, the stunning view of the harbour... everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Has wifi, good water supply, compact layout yet practical, supermarket 5 minutes by foot, boats to Mykines 10 minutes by foot. Highly recommended."
