"I highly recommend a stay in this truly exceptional French country house. The welcoming hosts greeted us with a bottle of wine and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. The house was extremely well equipped for a comfortable stay, with copious cookware and beautiful serving dishes. The property provided an excellent base for touring the region (Bordeaux, Arcachon beaches, St. Emilion vineyards, prehistoric caves in Dordogne, and Cognac). The property's front and back gardens are very charming, with the back offering fantastic views of the Dordogne River with its mesmerizing tides. The village has a wonderful restaurant, supermarket, and first rate bakery all within walking distance."

"Last minute booking and arrived frazzled from a long drive. Dominique was very welcoming and sorted a decent snack and beer to save me going back out for food. Very comfortable bed and lovely peaceful setting. Nice breakfast. Thanks !"

"So well located! Everything you would need in the city center is a short walk away. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you’d need from silverware, basic spices salt pepper and much more. Washer dryer was very helpful as we booked this for the mid point of our two week trip so we were due for a laundry refresh - dryer was a bit slow (I will caveat that we were cautious with the settings to avoid overdrying and shrinking clothes) but there is a foldable drying rack and many hangers on the property to air dry clothes as well. There are three fridges in the apartment I stayed in (a full size, mini size and wine fridge) - we only stayed two nights so we did not need all of this space but it was lovely to be able to keep all of our wine chilled and it would have been a huge pro for a longer stay where more time is spent eating in. AC worked phenomenally well, was very grateful to be able to cool down the apartment quickly after a long 6 hour bikeride in the heat."

"Beautiful room in a very nice property. Decor is fresh and natural. Shower is great and the bed is really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with good quality food and plenty of choice. We tried two recommended local restaurants and they were both great!"
