"Quiet, 15 mins walk from central Angers, plentiful, secure and roomy parking. Very safe, gates with codes close overnight. Good shower. The surrounding area is quiet and adjacent to Balzac park."

"Feels, looks and smells institutional, reminiscent of a hospital, perhaps unsurprisingly as it is part of a very large convent. No AC (not a problem during our visit but not great in warm temperatures). Checkout at 9am is unusually early."

"The location is excellent. Walking distance from parks, restaurants, bikeways, the tramway and the castle. The religious history is both interesting and provides a unique, tranquil ambiance."

"This hotel was a very nice surprise. The rooms and bathrooms seem to be brand new, are modern, spotless, quiet, comfortable and have all the amenities, including bedside reading lights, outlets and USB ports, and a couple of TV channels for non-French speakers. The staff are friendly and helpful, free onsite parking is plentiful and the breakfast was generous. The location right across the bridge from the historic town center was perfect for visiting Angers, though we chose to drive into the city, rather than walk. This hotel was an excellent value."

"Clean, safe, a bit Spartan since it was originally a mother house for a Catholic order of nuns which has become accommodations open to the public. The reception was pleasant. Remember to reserve breakfast or dinner in advance. The extensive grounds behind the hostellerie were beautiful surprise. At least four acres of gardens. Free parking was excellent and secure since the gates to the entire facility are locked after 8:30."

"Easy to navigate. Clean comfy room. The reception staff was premier! Wait staff in restaurant was excellent, except the chef, who refused us a pat of butter when we requested it. The waitress went and got it anyway. Bicycle storage was excellent."
