"Desk receptionist was extremely knowledgeable about local restaurants, plus I forgot my phone charger and she kindly lent me one which was extremely helpful since it was late enough that no shops were open."

"This is an example of a very good very simple basic hotel. The room was simple but very comfortable with adequate amenities. They had quite a nice breakfast. Communication was excellent and the were kind enough to let me use the single car garage that they have for 20 euros. The staff was extremely helpful and the location couldn’t be better; right next to Les Halle’s market and a quick walk to the beach and dozens of little restaurants and bars"

"Because it was locked off from cars because of construction, it was a little hard to get to by car."

"Great location, free parking, lovely reception staff, very comfy bed. Compact room but perfectly fine for a good night’s sleep."

"The shower holder didn’t work so had to hold the shower head. There was plenty of hot water tho. The wardrobe door was temperamental! No milk for room tea or coffee."

"Very convenient location - opposite the train station, and 2 minute walk from historic village centre. Modern bathroom fittings. Spacious bedroom -room for 2 people plus luggage. Appreciated the elevator. Friendly staff, who spoke good English. appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities."

"Great location near the train station. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was terrific. The manager took great care of us and was very attentive to our needs! We were riding our bicycles from Bordeaux to San Sebastian and took a couple nights in St Jean de Luz. Very fun little town in the Cote Basque. We werent on a "lounge around the pool" kinda vacation and this hotel worked perfectly for us!"

"Great breakfast: fruit salad, scrambled eggs, mini sausages and bacon. Cereals and yogurt (no muesli). Mini croissants, pains aux raisins and chocolatines, fresh bread with butter and jams."

"The room was quite basic but still very nice, the location couldn't have been better, directly opposite the train station (which was the reason I stayed in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, to get a train to Paris) and it was perfect. The staff were nice, I vaguely remember a bit of confusion over whether or not I'd paid the city tax, and I already had; they were very nice about it and just trusted me."

"For only £56 for the night, there wasn't anything glaringly missing."
