"This location a bit out of town worked well for us since we were coming and going by bike & car. Parking for both our car & bikes was super easy."
"We were riding big days so did look to supplement the delicious, but small (for us) baguette & croissant breakfast. John's hospitality and setting were really sweet though. And we really enjoyed hearing other guests talk about their various Camino plans."

"Joangi was a lovely stay. Beautiful house and surroundings. Lovely to hear the river while relaxing. My room was very comfortable and spacious. I wish I could've spent more time here. Loved it so much! Recommend. And already 1 mile down the Valcarlos route for the Camino was very convenient. The walk to and from town wasn't bad either. Jean was a welcoming and informative host."

"Wish I could rate it even higher. We loved our stay there. The location was close to town but in a quiet country setting. Jean our host was so nice and offered help for anything we needed. The house was meticulously renovated and is a beautiful piece of his family history. We can’t wait to return in the future. I almost forgot, breakfast was amazing!"

"Unique architecture: a XVII century farmhouse fully renewed with a refined taste, a perfect mix of classic country and design furniture + art. The host is very kind and welcoming, gives you all the information you might need for making your stay perfect. Nice breakfast served very stylish. A place full of history and charm. "There was nothing to dislike. We, (4 adults and 2 children) have had the best holiday. The good weather was a bonus, the children and adults loved the pool and were in it every day. The children enjoyed the chickens and especially the two ducks and made sure before coming back into the cottage each day that they were in their enclosure. Adele and Andy are lovely hosts. Their hospitality is exceptional and the cottage is comfortable, clean, has everything you coukd wish for, and a bonus it has soft mattresses, yeah! I can't recommend L'Ancienne Etable enough. Thank you Adele and Andy."

"We stayed in the "mobile home" not in the main house. The accommodation was clean, well maintained and very private. After meeting the host at the front of the house she will give you directions to get to the back of the house. You drive through a field with a mowed path to get to the "mobile home" which was a beautiful way to enter. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals every day. We ate outside in the garden many times. The accommodation is located in it's own private garden behind the main house and bordering a field. The pool is a couple of metres away through a gate. and had plenty of chairs/loungers. The host was very kind and helpful - although my wife does speak fluent French which helped. We had a great few days and it was a perfect location to explore Dijon, Dole, Beaune. There is a major supermarket about 7 minutes down the road."

"Very complete appartment. Even had tupperware to bring food on our outings! Lovely garden. Easy parking. No airconditioning, but it is cool inside anyway. We loved our stay here and felt very welcome. If you go in August count on the local stores (baker, butcher eg) to be closed. Large Intermarche was open."

"Located in the historic Sainte Foy with views of local church and surrounding mountains. It is next to the Hotel Le Monal which was an ideal place for dinners. The Hotel is a great place to meet, socialize and they have excellent deserts. Very affordable place for 4 people. Location is close to many ski stations. Shopping in Bourg St Maurice is 20minutes away. Also at Le Monal you can catch a bus to Sainte Foy ski station- small place with lots of UK skiers. Ski locker and parking is useful. Small nearby boulangerie is good place to get a limited selection of bread, cheese and wine."
