Guest reviews for La Maison
"Excellent location for the venues we visited in Les Forges, Josselin, Vannes, and Auray. Host was very kind and the breakfasts were awesome."
"The dormer was a little warm at the end of the day so we opened the windows. The mosquitoes were bothersome for a couple of days until we were advised to plug the mosquitoe repellent device into the wall outlet."
"Very clean & comfortable and the host was also very flexible in allowing us to check in earlier. Some people already mentioned the dog, and I would just like to add that he is one of the most well behaved dogs I’ve met :) The breakfast was also very nice."

"breakfast good, but the coffee from the machine in the room was better i noted your two (at least abutilon plants in your garden - it was a lovely garden the local church was v attractive"
"accessing the second floor and getting in and out of the bath for a shower - was challenging but despite this i met the challenge!"
"Friendly, helpful owner (and friendly dog, June!). Quiet, dark, location. Our attic room was surprisingly spacious (for us short people!) and very clean. Shower was powerful and the hot water came through very quickly. Free on street parking right outside. Nice back garden to relax in. Josselin and the forests at Broceliande were both great places to visit, as was La Roche Bernard further out."
"4 flights of stairs leading up to our attic room (and down again!) were challenging! We'd have preferred a larger bed, with a firmer mattress. The breakfast was plentiful (fresh baguette, croissant, jams, natural yogurt and fruit) but the same every day for 7 days got boring - we longed for eggs, ham, cheese! We liked the quiet location, however we hadn't realised that we'd have to drive out every night for restaurants. A good creperie was only 10 minutes drive away, but more choice was around 25 minutes drive away. There were no restaurants actually in Les Forges."
"A delightful place to stay very near the Nantes Brest canal route. A welcoming owner & a great room with various small details thoughtfully included. Lovely breakfast in the very nice dining room, with June, a very special dog, keeping us company."

"Eric is very friendly and welcoming. We arrived early and it was not a problem. Our top floor riom had two velux windows which made it airy and light. Very comfy bed. Lovely artworks and interior."
"The only slight negative was that our rooms had sloping ceilings in the eaves so we had to be careful not to hit our heads!"
"Hospitable and accomodating host. Lovely modernised house with nice garden in a remote village with very few amenities about a mile from the canal. Note there is no tv. Portable ac unit. Attractive good sized attic room via 2flights of stairs. Tea and coffee on shared landing. Good bike (velo) storage. French bfast of jams, fruit, yoghurt, pan and pastry."
"Short term maintenance issue with noisy water heater dealt with via ear plugs, but would have concerned some guests."
"I booked the afternoon for the very same night and still got a lovely welcome. The property is just beautiful, I loved the garden too. The bedroom was very large, the bed very comfy, the breakfast was delicious, all very clean, and the staff very welcoming. As I love dogs I was glad to meet the lovely house pet as well, super friendly and calm. Quiet location."

"Sensitively restored old property housing a well displayed eclectic art collection. Log burner was lit for our benefit on a cool autumn evening. Owner kindly let me use his kitchen. Good bike storage and charging facilities."
"Climbing stairs to the 2nd floor with luggage after a full day's cycling."
"Wow, what a find. A simply beautiful guesthouse in a peaceful village. Eric the host was very welcoming and the room was ready on our arrival. As mentioned the house is lovely but also the garden where we were able to relax. We were made to feel very welcome and breakfast was superb and plentiful. The bedroom was very clean and very comfortable as was the en-suite bathroom. There is a kettle with tea and coffee to share with the other guest room as well as a small fridge was cold drinks to help yourself too. I cannot recommend enough, you will not be disappointed."

"The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Good and fresh breakfast was served at our preferred time and we liked having access to the terasse with nice view during the evening. The Auberge is perfectly located right at the heart of the village, and the hosts very welcoming and discreet, you don't feel at all being in "someone's house" except briefly during the lively breakfast. I would definitely book again."

"Sandra, the host was superb. Very accommodating with super English. She helped us not only with the apartment, but also tips for Carcassonne."
"Kitchen was very well equipped. Plenty of beds and places to sleep for a large family or group. Location was also excellent."

"The view was amazing. Just a short walk through a lovely park to town and port side restaurants. Nice beach coastal walk when tide is out. The Studio appartment is well equipped. It has partioning blinds between shower and bed and between bed and lounge. Private parking with security barrier was great and the lift to the 3rd floor was very welcome"
"The upstairs apartment was very roomy and even includes a sun room. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything in the apartment worked well, including the wifi. While the building is old, the apartment has been updated very nicely. The location is great -- you can walk to a dozen good restaurants and there are banks, an excellent bakery, a laundromat and a grocery store within a couple of blocks. The Verzere River is a block away and has nice walking paths. It was easy to get to the neolithic cave sites, the chateaux, charming towns and other attractions from our location. We would definitely recommend Les Toites de Lascaux to friends."
