"This quiet apartment is very nicely furnished and very comfortable, with easy access to the older Caen neighborhood of Vaugueux that has many restaurants, bars, and historic sites nearby. The main shopping area with coffee shops and bakeries is also a short walk away. And, the university campus is a 10 min walk around the perimeter of the castle walls. I would gladly return to stay here on my next trip to Normandy."

"Location excellent, v close to the old part of town with restaurants/ cafes. Also v easy walk to all the main sights/ sites. Very generously equipped flat - everything you would need was there, in quantity. V useful to have a washing machine as we were there for 6 nights - great to do a load. Loved the terrace, ate meals there often. Overall an excellent stay"

"We liked absolutely everything. The accommodation is litle piece of art. Everything is nicely arranged with everything needed. Close to Carn town centre as well,lots of restaurants around. But again, I don't have enough words to describe how beautiful the flat is:the colours, the furniture, amazing. Aurelian is a very nice host, an artist in how he arranged everything. P. S checking in it was very smooth and easy!"

"Charming old stone property, with a modern twist , particularly the swish bathroom, the only down side would be access for some people, flat is on first floor, with circular stone staircase, no handrail, we both managed with suitcases etc, I'm 69years, but if you had mobility problems, you might look elsewhere,."

"This is a cozy apartment where you can feel at home directly in the city center of Caen. The host welcomes us with a bottle of cold water (in the summer heat) and a bottle of wine. The contact with the host was friendly, easy, and immediate. All facilities were according to the description, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the bed was comfortable. The small terrace is adorable. We were afraid of the noise caused by the city's nightlife, but even Friday evening was pretty calm and quiet."

"The only minuses we can point out are: - loud ventilators - when we arrived, the boiler (hot water) was switched off - it's hard to park directly in this area, especially for free (but there are reasonable possibilities in the nearby)"

"Lovely location close to the Chateau and many restaurants. The decor of the apartment was fabulous. Kitchen equipment was everything we needed. Aircon appreciated."

"Coffee “modules” were wrong size for machine - this didn’t spoil our stay. Negotiating downstairs might be difficult for some people."

"Shower has no curtains/doors, which is very annoying. The dishwasher might not work, I turned it on, it made some sounds but didn't wash the dishes. If I did something wrong, maybe include instructions, as it isn't obvious"

"Apartment was in a great central location. Bed was really comfortable, living area spacious and plenty of room. Shower was great. Parking nearby at a good price. Walkable to many attractions and also cafes and bars. No air con and no fan . A fan would be a bonus . Please get one. Windows let in some breeze however, we needed to close windows."

"Right across the lane is a nightclub. Open midnight to seven am. If you like sleeping in these hours, forget it. We booked Monday and Tuesday night. Saw the reviews but thought these were pretty safe weeknights. Oh, no. At midnight,Monday , we were woken by the street noise. The nightclub party got going. Closed all the windows to keep out the noise but then no breeze. Still noisy and now hot as well. Having a fan would have made an amazing difference. Tuesday night, no nightclub. Check out Le Depot to make sure the nightclub hours prior to booking, unless you like nightclubbing. If so , this is the place to be."
