"Maison Lamothe was everything as advertised - and more! The location, the picturesque rural setting is beautiful and very restful. It is a wonderful old home with all the modern amenities in terms of comfort. However, the best thing of all is the very interesting and very kind hostess, Michelle. She manages to give her guests beautiful rooms, wonderful meals, taxi service as needed, and a totally lovable house dog, Bertie. Michelle obviously cares greatly for her guests as people, and we all benefit from her big heart! Thank you, Michelle."

Michelle is an exceptional host who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, going so far as to drive out to find us, two drenched and chilled hikers in the rain to persuade us to let her give us a lift the short distance to her property, above and beyond!"

"2 things would improve future stays: 1) better signage in Flamarens- for walkers, there are no steps to spare at the end of a long day. 2) some kind of screen on the patio door - it was very warm but we couldn’t open the door as the little green bugs would have filled the room and the patio door was the only source of fresh air!"

"The location is perfect, with a beautiful and peaceful view over the lake from the living room. The facilities are excellent, and the beds are very comfortable. Even during high temperatures, the rooms stayed cool throughout the day. It’s an ideal place to stay, especially when combined with visits to the nearby historical cities and sites. We truly enjoyed our stay!"

Essential shops and medical facilities. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Good restaurants . Public or private beach."

"Fantastic historical property. Perfect to unplug from daily routine. You're transported to a different time and place the moment you walk in. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, each room is decorated with a different theme using artwork and collectors' items and has a private bathroom. Everything is spotless clean.
