"As usual, The Red Fox was immaculate. The location is brilliant but there are downsides, read on."
"There are a couple of silly niggling things about the hotel, one that can be easily sorted, one that can't! The first is that the hotel supplies a kettle and tea making stuff in the rooms. Firstly, the kettle doesn't reach any power pints from the dressing table, it really needs a power socket at the level of the table. Secondly, supplying paper cups is the proverbial "chocolate tea pot". Would it be too much to ask for a couple of cheap tea cups or mugs please? It's the same in the bathroom, even Premier Inn has cups and glasses. Paper cups are perfectly useless! The main issue that we had this time was the noise from the street outside, which went on until 5.00 in the morning as revellers made their way home. The yelling, screaming and shouting from the street below during the small hours was grating, but was a consequence of the wonderful town-centre location of the hotel. Also, just how many times does the street sweeping truck have to go up and down overnight? Just as the screaming ended, the sweeping started! All in all, we had another brilliant stay at The Red Fox and the advantages of the hotel far, far, outweigh the above issues. We will be back, just provide some mugs and an extension lead please!"
