"Close to train but I wasn’t really sure how far it would be from restaurants. It was a good walk across the Loire river which was lovely but problematic in the rain. I think there was a bus from Train to the main part of Amboise but as this was my first trip to France/Europe and I arrived at the property on my 3rd day i was probably still suffering from jet lag so never figured it out completely."

"The flat was really nice, especially it's location which is across the street from the train station at Amboise. I booked it very last minute, and it was so easy- I was given a code and able to access the flat as soon as I arrived from the station. Walking to the town centre is 10 minutes, which is a stunning walk, as you cross the Loire River looking up at the Chateau Amboise. It was the perfect size for one person, and for a couple would work well too. Brand new facilities including a washer, good size bathroom and cute windows that open from the kitchen, lounge and bathroom. I didn't use the TV, but the internet was extremely good! Would recommend and return to this flat!"

"Lack of outlets in the loft sleeping area means if you set an alarm on your phone charging downstairs, you could hurt yourself climbing down in a hurry to turn off the alarm; baggage storage can be an issue, like many non-hotel lodging choices"

"The apartment is close to the train station, and a lovely 10 minute walk across the bridge into town. Aldi supermarket is close by for supplies. The apartment is very well set up for self-catering, also has washing machine, and the bathroom is very nice and the water hot. It is generally very cosy and comfortable, apart from a few issues below. The bed is up a ladder on the platform, which was fine for me and makes for more living space in the apartment, but it may not be for everyone."

"I needed earplugs to sleep because of the noise of the fridge, which sounds much louder at night. The doona was synthetic and way too hot for the summer temperatures, particularly as hot air rises up to the sleeping space. Then, apart from the hanging space there was no shelving / cupboard to unpack your luggage. And a power point and light switch up near the bed would be useful, so you don't have to clamber down again to switch off light."

"The bed and bedding arrangements. The bed was closer to the ceiling than expected, quite high up, not easy to access, it felt cramped, difficult to breathe on a warm night as hot air rises. Luckily we had a set of bedding and sheets in the car so that we didn't need to strip the bed as instructed."

"Le studio est très bien placé dans Amboise: à 2 min de la gare où on peut aller à Orléans, Blois et Tours et à 10 min du centre ville. Il y a tout sur place (pharmacie, boulangerie, supermarché...). On peut se garer facilement. Le quartier est calme. Le studio dispose de tout le nécessaire pour deux personnes avec des matériaux de qualité. C'était très propre. Le rapport qualité prix est top."
