"Despite a problem with Booking.com that didn't record that the hotel was closed, the owners were waiting for me when I checked in. I was immediately upgraded to a better room and was also offered dinner in my room. Food was exceptional, the cheese board perfect as was breakfast in the morning. Being the only guest in a hotel was a new experience, slightly strange but rather enjoyable."

"Maison du Bois is such a gem in this beautiful village! Our host was so friendly and helpful, guiding us to the place when we got lost because of some sat nav misguidance and again when I realized I'd left a phone charging cord at a previous B&B. The building of Maison du Bois is so welcoming with the beautiful stone exterior and blue shutters. Our rooms were spacious and clean with very comfy beds and cozy decor. The bathrooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed. Our host recommended Restaurant La Coquille, which was across the way. What a wonderful experience here. Absolutely gourmet food served with such warm hospitality. The next morning, I got to watch an amazing sunrise from my window. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast spread with homemade items and so much delicious food to get our day started perfectly. We only had one night to stay in the area this time, but we'll definitely be back."
