"Very nice couple, and a cozy house in a clean and safe residence area. We had the entire 2nd floor, free parking and well prepared breakfast. Close to the beach and about 30 minutes walk to the center (possible to take local bus instead)."

"Such gracious hosts. They really enjoy their guests. Especially at breakfast. We enjoyed speaking with them even through my wife’s French is limited and mine is poor. The hosts know just enough English to converse. This is the perfect property for those who want to meet a true French couple. Very close to beach although we stayed in fall. The room is very private, large and comfortable. Close to less touristy restaurants."

"It’s two flights upstairs to room to your own floor. I had no problem taking luggage up. But others, especially over packers might struggle."

"Everything was amazing!! The hosts were exceptionally friendly and caring. They shared nice stories with us while we enjoyed amazing home made apple cakes for breakfast. If you want to experience authentic France, you should definitely stay in Vila Herbert."

"We really enjoyed our stay and having the opportunity to put the world to rights, chatting with our lovely hosts, M and Mme Pottier. Charming period property ideally located close to the seafront and for a stroll along the promenade into St Malo. Breakfast was superb with homemade jams and cake. The room was large with a double aspect and private being on the top floor of the house. The bed was very comfortable. An added bonus was being able to park the car off road so we could just spend the day exploring on foot. Many thanks."

"A lovely old style house with a beautiful cosy, lived in feel about it. Colette and Guy were excellent hosts. Kind and generous in every way. They were even prepared to take us to the SNCF station at 06.45 for our early train to Paris. They also prepared a picnic breakfast for us to eat en route. Altogether a splendid stay. Thank you for making us so welcome."
