"Amazing views right by the sea. Nice chill breakfast area (with kittens!!!) and another separate bit where they host parties and stuff, good for socialising. Big enough room with comfortable bed, you get your own key so can arrive and leave whenever. Breakfast included is bread and tea/coffee with optional paid extras."

"They will probably charge you a bit more than booking.com said - I ended up paying 250 cedi ($23 €20 £17) a night which is still very cheap but not what was advertised. Breakfast is nice but took a long time (30-45 minutes) to arrive, so factor that in if you have plans"

"Bathroom and toilet are clean but sometimes you need to use bucket for water if you want to take a shower. They help you for that. So it's easy and for the price, I think that it's a good deal."

"The bathroom could only provide water from one tap at a time. The door of the room was hard to open or close. It is not for people who expect material luxury, but you get anything you need and much more in happiness!"

"Ths location is perfect. By the sea always a bit cooler than the rest of the city with an outstanding view of the bay if Guinea."

"Nothing the place or staff are to blame for. European travellers find limited choice and availability on menus all over Ghana. Rising Phoenix does it's best and the food is better than most."

"What a wonderful hidden escape. Nancy and Abu are lovely hosts making you feel welcome from the first minute. There is a lovely well kept tropical garden with hammocks, a rooftop terrace for use by the guests, the rooms are spacious and clean and the mattresses are high quality hard mattresses. They also have a small restaurant that serves a small number of fresh and well-prepared breakfast options and vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices. Drinks are also available. The laughing goat looks like it's at the edge of town, but it's literally a 2 minute walk away from the main Street with all the bars and restaurants, and a five minute walk from the beach, yet it is in a calm area of town so that you're just far enough away from the bars not to be disturbed by the music at night."
