Dabo House

"We enjoyed Dabo House it was clean, comfortable, and walking distance to small markets and restaurants. Breakfast was served daily. They also provided transportation for a small fee."

"The staff is friendly and respectful. Whatever we needed, the staff was willing to assist us. Our room was a nice size and was very clean. They do have a safe in the room. There was a window AC which I used at night. The breakfast they offered was made to order omelette, tea, coffee, the local made bread, corn flakes cereal, seasonal fruit plate. They also have butter, jam, peanut butter etc.. The pool is cleaned daily. It is not too big but it is deep. There are a few mini markets and restaurants within walking distance. We felt at home here and I would stay again."

"The size of the bathroom is small. Similar to the cabin bathroom size on a cruise ship. There isn't a mini fridge in the room. Guests can use the communal fridge located in the outside dining patio. Not a big deal but for those that drive a car, there is only space to park maximum 3 cars in their gated court yard. They are located on a quiet street so cars can also park on side of road"

"Clean room in a lovely African style compound. Attentive staff and friendly owners. Pool was kept clean. Breakfast was good too. Quiet neighbourhood. 15 minute walk to the beach Home away from home."

"There was no mosquito nets on the windows so to cool down you have to use the aircon which was very loud. The bathroom/ shower room is very small so it all gets wet, but not a problem for us."

"Lovely staff and management, well maintained pool."

"Salifu and the rest of the Dabo House crew made me feel warmly welcome and helped me with everything I needed. The atmosphere was relaxing, the garden and birds lovely, the pool refreshing, the bed huge and comfortable and the food amazing. My best stay yet after 18 years of coming to the Gambia."

"I wish I could have stayed longer."

"This is my favorite spot in the Gambia and really feels like my second home. It is comfortable, safe and clean. Staff is friendly in a professional way and will help you find a solution to any problem. Salifs food is always delicious. The pool in nice and clean. The neighbpurhood is safe and it is possible to mert locals in a relaxed way if you want. This time I travelled with my 8 year old daughter and she loved the experience."

"It is too far away from Sweden and I can’t go there often enough."

"Great welcoming staff, lovely pool to relax and cool down, fantastic breakfast including eggs and fruit salad. We were the only guests there as low season and staff very accommodating to our needs. It was the Euro championship final and they made sure some of our party could watch the final on tv. Rooms were very clean and well care for. Bedding very comfortable on main room. Swimming pool is small but very clean and deep so you can swim. They turn on the lights at night if you fancy swimming then Very convenient for local transport to local day trips and close to many restaurants/bars and minimarkets"

"We had the family room which includes a large king bed in a bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Fantastic AC in the bedroom but no AC in the living room so those who slept in the living room were not happy. It would have been better to have two rooms after all. this was not made clear Everything else is very good"
