"Amazing location, practica)y downtown. Thr place is very clean has comfortable beds and bedding, and is adorable! It also has a hairdryer and kettle woth tea and coffee."
"First our host was very lovely. Not the hosts fault! But a must know. Something Very important to note is that she will only accept cash and nothing else. I had seen that the owner would deal with payment and that is all, I thought maybe via an app, square etc. I was educated that in further pages in fine print it says euros (which again I took to mean the currency not that its cash only). The conversion rate is extremely high right now which just means it's worse at machines and in person becauae of fees. On top of this Ireland, the entire country, stopped exchanging 100$ bills. Well, this is all I had for cash to convert and the machines fees again are bonkers. Banka will cash 100$ bill but only if your a citizen, which then yiu probably don't need to do. My mom and I spent a very long strefull part of the one day we had there trying to find the most economical way to get cash. In the end we paid out the nose on a machine. Again, the host was lovely and I Did misunderstand this in the listing on booking.com. I would suggest both booking.com and the host make this very very clear in bold print on the main reservation and how to pay page as this is very unusual for a business. It may say it somewhere as well but this bed and breakfast no longer serves breakfast. I understand if it is too much and I definitely may have missed this on the listing but I really wish hosts would be more upfront and make it clear no breakfast is available at all at their B&Bs. The only other thing was there are windows above the doors in each room with bo covers, outside of which are very bright emergency lights that glare in the room. I would suggest providing a curtain to cover these. I hope I don't offend the host, it truly was a lovely stay otherwise and she was very nice. These are just things I wish I had not misunderstood or that were a little clearer when booking. Still an absolutely wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it."
"The owner was very responsive and was able to answer all of my questions fairly quickly."
"Trying to find parking was a little tough."
"My sister and I stayed just one night and our stay was very pleasant. Great location (just a quick walk to town), comfortable bed, and very clean. There is very limited parking right in front (about 2 cars can fit). Phil was very gracious and provided recommendations upon our arrival on what to do in town. Thank you, Phil!"
"The walls are a bit thin so you can hear others in their rooms. But sometimes this can be expected with B&Bs."
"There was on-street parking available. Walking to town was a short walk ,though a steep hill. The room was tiny, but adequate."
"Having the ability to use a credit card for payment would have been better. The owner only accepted Euros for payment. We tried to exchange American dollars to Euros at banks and were turned away for not having an account."
"Clean and comfortable room , easy walking distance to the main part of Kinsale nice view from the room. Our host gave recommendations on places to eat and visit within easy walking distance."
"The shower in our room did not have good temperature control or water pressure. We were not aware prior to arrival that breakfast was not included. We did not mind but it was not clear to us during booking."
"At this property it was nice to have a parking spot. Phil was very helpful to tell us where to eat and where to find music."
"Having the option to have breakfast at the B&B would have been nice."
"A comfortable night's stay within a short walk to downtown Kinsale."
"Be careful to read the notes when booking. The proprietor only accepts cash payment for the room and breakfast is an extra 10 euros."
"Very clean and spacious accommodations. Friendly helpful staff"
"We had to carry our luggage up a big set of stairs to our room"
"Very comfortable, parking on site. Phyl is a lovely friendly landlady. Distant view of Kinsale harbour from back windows and 5 min walk into centre of town - albeit an extremely steep hill. We didn't opt for breakfast."
"Lovely bathroom but very weak shower - didn't bother us but not for those who expect a power shower"
"Walking distance to downtown, shops and restaurants. Phil was very friendly and the room and bath were clean and a nice size. Parking was available onsite."
"We missed on the website that Phil wasn't providing breakfast during our particular timeframe but she steered us to some very nice cafes that were close. We also missed that it was cash only."
