"had issue finding the room, didn't know there are many blocks of the premises. spent quite a lot of time locating our rooms. no staff and indication in the email. then the password did not work for one of our rooms. spent another more time to seek for help."

"Even though the room is very small and simple, it was very clean. The bathroom and common kitchen area are very well maintained and clean, and there is free coffee in the kitchen. Many people use Kitchen to make their dinner."

"There is some distance and many stairs from parking to the building. And there is not elevator."

"We were very happy with this accommodation. Pleasantly surprised by the comfort and cleanliness. Something we haven’t experienced with hostels before Iceland. Beds were comfortable! Shower area was clean and the hot water was plentiful. Kitchen facility was well equipped and clean. Hot drink station was appreciated. We especially appreciated the prompt and thoughtful communication through the booking site. We had under packed and needed some laundry done. When we asked through the booking site, the response was in minutes! There are washing machines and dryers in the basement on one building available for all to use. Need to use Airwallet app to use the machines and I experienced a lot of operator error on my end which was costly but worth clean underwear and socks lol. Really appreciated this stay."

"There was a large tour group staying here and they took over the kitchen in its entirety using tables for appliances and permanent prep stations. There wasn’t room for us to make sandwiches quickly when we wanted to make them and in the morning the breaker kept going off using the toaster as the other personal appliances used by the tour group were drawing too much power. We also struggled with the smokers smoking right at the entrance to the building. Having either a smoking area or distance away policy may be helpful."

"We stayed just one night at Eidar Hostel and everything was fine. The place was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. A good spot for a short stay."

"Our private room was comfortable. It had a sink which was convenient. Kitchen had oven."

"The kitchen was very small for all the guests. Only 2 tables so sometimes it was just impossible to sit. On our 1st night there was a group of young ladies from the Nordics who were very loud in the common area which impacted our stay. There is only 1 shower in our alley. We didn't care but it's right in front of the cemetery"

"Lovely value price room with sink inside overlooking the lake! Easy 24 hr check in if you arrive late. Free parking directly in front of entrance. Kitchen is fully stocked and huge dining room. Practically next to must visit Grjotagja Cave and 9 minutes from must visit Hvellir. Supermarket and gas station are a 2 minute walk away."
