Surrounded by 124 acres of its own vineyards, Locanda Palazzone is just 3 miles outside of Orvieto. It features grounds with swimming outdoor pool and panoramic countryside views. Locanda Palazzone is a charming and historic building, built in 1300 in celebration of the first Jubilee. It features spacious suites with original features such as wood-beamed ceilings or hardwood floors. All air conditioned, they furthermore feature a inviting lounge with flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee-making facilities. A buffet morning snack of homemade croissants, cake and marmalade is served each morning. The brasserie, open upon request, serves a fixed menu of Umbrian specialties for dinner. Free secure garage is provided at the Locanda, which is only a 10 minute drive from Orvieto Cathedral. It is easily reached from the A1 highway and is 12 miles from Lake Bolsena.

"This hotel was absolutely amazing! We traveled with our 4 month old and they were able to provide a travel crib for us to use and we had plenty of space in our room. The views we had too were just gorgeous. The hotel staff even helped us setup a large family (~10 people) dinner."
"I wish the large bed was in the upstairs bedroom near the bathroom and the twin beds were in the downstairs room, but other than that everything was perfect."

"The Locanda Palazzone is a really unique property in that it’s a 13th Century farmhouse that has been thoroughly gutted and modernized. As a result, the rooms and spaces are spacious, visually clean and comfortable. Most rooms are two story loft style with dramatic windows, but one room is all one level level (recommended for older travelers). The staff is really friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are well fed, organized and comfortable. Additionally, the beds are firm, toiletries luxurious (they remind me of Hermes), and the property itself sits in a winery with an amazing view."
"There’s really nothing to complain about. If I had to pick something, the access road from the main road is especially gravelly and bumpy, but it takes 3 minutes to drive."

"We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable — we slept really well. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and quiet, perfect for a short getaway. "During the recent Winter Olympic events in Predazzo, I had the wonderful pleasure to spend 3 nights in this beautiful family operated hotel. Claudia, Niccolo, and Mario took great care of me and were incredibly helpful with local dining and transportation options. The included breakfast was definitely a highlight. Niccolo prepared fresh and tasty breakfast options, and Claudia did an amazing job of making sure that everyone had exactly what they needed...and didn't leave hungry. The location was perfect for my needs, I truly felt like I was staying with family! Wonderful!"

"The staff, especially Sara, was incredibly friendly and made my stay so lovely. The property was very beautiful and had incredibly views. The one thing is that the location is a little far away if you're using it as a base to travel around eastern Sicily. But otherwise, perfect spot."

"To start with, the location is not only excellent (right in the middle of historical Viterbo, walking distance to most things), but you also have parking inside (and space for normal-sized cars too), which can be a life saver when travelling by car. Nice (and very clean) room, and for a very reasonable price (have been to city accommodations half as good for twice the price). Also provided disposable indoor slippers, which is instantly a +1. Lastly, can mention that the owner also has a nearby restaurant (c. 2min walk), called La Chimera, which I can strongly recommend. I do not normally give 10/10 unless very deserving, i.e. going above and beyond, but this place deserves it."
