Guest reviews for Matsunoki
"It was a warm and cozy guest house with wonderful owner/operators. The location is great. You can walk anywhere downtown but it’s on a quiet street. The family who runs it is very kind, knowledgeable about the area (and history), and they offered us wonderful hospitality. The breakfast was great and we ordered Onigiri to go (miso walnut was best). A very nice treat to have on the trails! I only wish we had stayed longer. Highly recommend to anyone traveling through Karakol and up into the Tian Shen."
"N/A - everything was wonderful"
"The rooms are clean. The place is quiet and very cozy. Breakfast was great. They have a play room in the basement."
"No bidet. Could use a fan in the rooms during summer."
"I loved my one night at Matsunoki and wished I had booked the guesthouse on the front-end of my visit to Karakol. Yuka and her family are lovely hosts and have created a warm and very comfortable environment. My room had an excellent king size bed with mountain views. After 3.5 weeks in Central Asia, the high-density, foam mattress and crisp linens were the best bedding I had by far. This is a superb option in Karakol and well-worth the price."
"No complaints or recommendations for improvement. Everything was great."
"Cleanest guesthouse I have ever been. Accommodating owner with good food. Relaxing and solemn place. You can feel you are really on a vacation! A must visit place if you are staying in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan"

"What an amazing oasis! After two weeks of traveling by bike, Matsunoki was a great place to recover and explore Karakol. Yuka and her staff are warm and welcoming, but yet respectful of your privacy. Breakfast was fast and delicious. Also, Yuka allowed us to keep our bikes in the basement which was a accessed from outside. This little gesture made our stay even more restful knowing that our bikes were safe."

"One of the best! The host is very thoughtful and hospitable, the breakfast is sumptuous and she even prepared packed food for us since we checked out early. Place is nearby point of interests. It is such a nice place to come home to after a day of excursion for its coziness and in general just a relaxing place to be. Would highly recommend!"

"Everything! We had returned from multiple days of hiking in cold and rainy weather, so we were relieved to stay in a cozy, warm, and peaceful place. Our private twin room had a view of the garden and mountains, a comfy bed, a hot shower and clean bathroom, and plenty of space. We enjoyed the morning coffee and always-available water and tea, the fresh and delicious breakfast, and the relaxing and quiet common spaces. The host was also very welcoming. Book a night (or more) here if you want to feel rested and re-energized!"

"Irina and her team have really equipped and maintained this place superbly. It was one of our best stays on our travels in Kyrgyzstan and excellent value. The guesthouse is immaculate and well thought out in terms of its facilities and comfort. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen for our self catering, the roomy common area, the clean bathrooms and comfortable bedroom. It's a stone's throw from the beach, a nice place for a walk on a sunny morning or evening, in a quiet area within easy access of the city. Highly recommended!"

"I had a comfortable stay and despite arriving late at night, the family waited for me and welcomed me nicely. The room is spacious and very comfortable though a bit old but it’s fine. The owner is really nice. She’s a very kind lady and helpful. I really had a great time talking to her :)"

"Понравились условия проживания. Большие комнаты, можно комфортно расположиться семьёй, в комнатах чисто. Хозяева гостеприимны, сытный завтрак и угощения с сада. На год вперёд наелись абрикосов и яблок. Хозяин встретил на машине и по необходимости увозил на пляж и обратно. Очень понравилось!"
"Very amazing host really helpful , it's just 15 mins drive away from Ala Archa park"
"If you want to walk in Ala-Archa valley and have a romantic diner int the restaurant there…but you don’t want to come back in Bishkek! This place is for you! Small nice hotel with lovely breakfast…alive trout in the swimming pool outside…many places to walk and warm up in sauna after!"
