"The treehouse was fitted with an AC which made the stay very comfortable. The service and food were exceptional with a lot of attention to detail, e.g the presentation of the dishes. Pheakdey was very friendly and helpful in organising trips and transportation for us. They make you feel at home and we will visit again."

"The bathrooms and provision of toiletries are great. An extra hook to hang up clothes while taking a shower would be great."

"The view was gorgeous, misty mountains and a peaceful river. The food was always delicious, and the staff very friendly and attentive. My bungalow was peaceful, clean and close to river. I kayaked every day and loved every minute of my stay. Highly recommend."

"This was our favourite place in Cambodia. Peaceful by the river, gorgeous clean air conditioned rooms. Delicious food and drinks, best food so far! Wonderful staff, smiley and remembered our names always which is very sweet. They have scooters you can rent and kayaks you can just use. Very leafy and green and spacious. Great views as the restaurant is on stilts. All in all a lovely stay!"

"Cleaning of your room must be asked for otherwise it is not the default! They do tell you this so really was our fault. But, well ……."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sabay Beach. Our tree house was super relaxed with nice views of the garden. We spent an afternoon just reading from our terrace surrounded by greenery. The restaurant was phenomenal with excellent food. They had excellent western and Khmer food. Also really good wine. Special mention to the front of house staff, Pagedey, Lee and Mizzy and the team. They were incredibly warm, friendly and hospitable. They went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. Overall we couldn’t recommend this place more."

"Everything was great! The hotel is exactly as advertised, right on the river with a nice sandy beach and pier, kayaks and generally a nice tropical atmosphere. The service is impeccable but keep in mind cash only."

"The structures (cabins and dining porch) felt a little bit under-constructed and creaked quite a bit - they will be in need of reinforcements very soon. Also might put a damper on the romantic component of the trip :-)"

"We often stay at Sabay Beach when spending time in Kampot. It is a great place for families, with a nice beach area to play, and a dock for kids to jump off into the river. The food is great, the staff very warm and helpful, and the rooms comfortable."

"The location outside of town is overall a positive for what we are looking for: quiet, relaxing place on the river. However, it does help to have your own transportation, either a car or motos, to get around."
