"We stayed here 3 nights and had a nice time. The rooms are behind a restaurant which makes it very quiet and calm at night. The host is very nice and helpful, always ready to give good advice. The rooms are very big and comfortable with both AC and a fan, good for the crazy heat in Kampot. We were also able to park our bike here with no problem. The location is nice because it's very close to restaurants and places of interest, including the promenade. We highly recommend staying here!"

"Paul the manager was amazing. When we booked we requested a room with a window, which wasn’t available our first night but he set up a room switch for us the day after our check-in (the room we were in originally was much bigger but only had windows on the screen door). Anytime we needed anything, Paul was super quick to respond to our messages, and when we visited him at the Birds Nest (sister location), he gave us tons of information on places we should visit around Kampot and Kep. The property isn’t brand new, but the location, price and cleanliness are worth it"

"Great little backyard but city centre location. We loved having the very simple but functional outdoor kitchen and safe scooter parking. Friendly host who tries to make things possible. Great space in the room and huge bed. Would definitely return."
"Could do with some tlc. Some items don't work or need some work. Constant dripping of water in bathroom, lights and fans that don't work. Outside could have nicer furniture and maybe some hammocks to make it friendlier. But we really enjoyed our stay overall and it's good value for money."
"A secluded oasis in the middle of town. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and wifi is excellent. The restaurant and bar is conveniently located on the street front.The food is fresh & delicious. I enjoy staying at The Hideout. Definitely value for money ,a friendly welcoming place for a solo traveler."

"Very nice place, the room looks like a real studio with everything you need inside, fridge, hot water, comfortable king size bed, AC and fan... The place is very clean and the owner very friendly and helpful. You also have a terrace with table and chair with a lot of tropical plant. I would definitely come back here next time."

"Perfect if you want real privacy. They say the mattress is hard, but I like it. You have to keep in mind that it depends on each person; they have their own tastes and needs. The owner is friendly and direct. Do you want the place to be central? But the owners are fake."

"Important Note! The Phnom Penh airport changed locations in October last year, so this is now about 40 min - 1 hr away from the airport. This is such a wonderful hostel run by truly wonderful people. I was very comfortable in my private room, the bed was so cozy and there was a TV, air conditioning, a mini fridge, small toiletries and a clothing rack. There is so much love and care put into this place and I truly felt like the owners cared about me having a good experience. They even made sure I woke up on time in the morning for my flight! I would stay again if I came back. It's not right in the middle of the city center, but the hospitality makes it so worth it."
