"A great hostel, very clean and comfortable. The staff was really kind, they even looked out for me to return when it got late. It was my second time staying here and it was great. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance."

"Nice, tastefully designed, modern facility, the nicest kitchen I've seen in any hostel in Almaty and cozy common areas, including a terrace and courtyard with a view onto the river. Friendly, helpful staff, especially the woman on the first and fourth nights, who was lovely. Wonderfully clean. It is a bit away from the sights but near a metro station and bus 92 to the airport, and there are grocery stores, restaurants and even a fresh market within walking distance. Nice big lockers to put your stuff in. For the price it's excellent value and if I ever go back to Almaty this is where I would stay."

"The bunk beds creak at the slightest movement - if there's someone on the bed above you you may have trouble sleeping. Only one bathroom and shower for 14 beds - even at half occupancy you often had to wait. There's a Chinese mother and young daughter staying long term in the dorm - the mother seems to expect other guests and staff to babysit her daughter, who could be quite loud and disruptive."

"Hostel 211A offers good sized rooms and a comfortable bed. I liked having the single bed. OK storage space. Bathroom clean but might not be enough if room is full. Towels, etc are for rent. Good kitchen and social space both inside and outside. Not far from metro and on bus lines. Several good markets nearby. Not sure how much of a social scene it has."

All the staff were approachable, friendly and very attentive to all your needs.. like for example; we don’t have adaptor but they let us borrowed for 3 nights of our stay.. I will come back again soon and recommend this hostel to my friends who wished to explore Almaty Kazakhstan"
