"I stayed here for two days, and it became a truly unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, I felt genuinely welcomed. Yasmine, the receptionist, is without a doubt the best I have ever met. Her kindness, warmth, and dedication made me feel at home. She always went the extra mile, not because she had to, but because she truly cares. As someone who runs a hostel in Japan, I was deeply inspired and learned so much just by observing her. Thank you, Yasmine, from the bottom of my heart. You made my stay special in a way I will never forget. The facilities and location were also excellent, which made everything even more comfortable. But more than anything, it was the people—especially Yasmine—that made this place stand out. If I ever return to Almaty, there is no question—I will stay here again. "Only 10 minutes walk to bus station where you can take international bus crossing boarder to China. Supermarket and restaurant are next door. This hostel even take credit card, big common area with kitchen."

"I stayed in a private room at Hostel O2 and overall had a good experience. The location is great and the place is very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I especially loved the common area,it’s a beautiful and relaxing space."

"That said, it was quite loud in the mornings due to the cleaning staff. On both days, the noise started very early and made it hard to sleep in, which was a bit frustrating. If you’re an early riser or a heavy sleeper, this place could be perfect. Otherwise, bring earplugs!"

"Hostel O2 Almaty We stayed from April 17, 20-21, 24-27.(Absent due to away local tour) We took one bunk bed and one private room. Initially, we plan to stay one day only but very satisfying so decided to remain all our days in HO2. Staff are helpful especially Mr Yerlan. He recommended good restaurants, help us to download YandexGo .... Spacious, clean, drinking water provided, water in bathroom is strong and fast heated. HO2 allowed us to keep our luggage bags while away for 2 days trip to Kolsai Lake / Canyon. Strategic location with a lot of restaurants, Tastak Bazaar, bus stop.... Definitely we will come back again to Hostel O2."

"My wife's bed in the private room is soft, it will be easy to sleep if the bed is solid. My bunk bed has no light, it would be better off if it comes with a light."

"Location close to bus station is huge. Easy walk and easy to find. Curtains on bed. Free water in common area. Less than 1 min walk to public transport."

"Wasn’t just alright in cleanliness. Also, the bedroom doors are thing and some people were up late. Had to make own bed with linens, not a big deal, just FYI. Very little English spoken. Not close to city center."

"Commond room is so spacious and clean. The hostel is very well maintenance so its very comfort. The staff also is nice even sometime there's language barrier. Location is amazing, close to bus station, coffee shop, mini market and bar. Room price so affordable for me and I also keep my luggage while waiting check in time. Thanks a lot Hostel O2."

"No stove, only microwave, ricecooker and electric kettle. I hope in the future they can provide stove, so the guest can cook some food. Only one bathroom with 2 showers, so we need to wait to take shower expecially when a lot of guest."
