"The hostel is located in a cute renovated French house which has a bar/specialty cafe in the front. Really helpful and friendly staff. The hotel was really clean and new. The bed was spacious, especially the personal locker (huge!). The doors are equipped with modern keycards. The cocktails were excellent and affordable, you definitely need to try them out."
"Unluckily stayed in the same room with a group of young loud travellers who came back late after an evening out partying. However, it was not the hostel's faults. Vientiane does not really have much to do."
"Very nice hostel with some antique interior in the adjacent cafe; I also loved all the breakfast options there were!"
"There were not many people around - not very easy to socialize"
"This was the best hostel we stayed in during our time in Laos. Drink tickets for the cafe was a bonus!"

"Very good internet connection, cool rooms, own lockers, big bunk beds, bicycle for free, great coffee included in the breakfast, downtown close by"
"Way too many mosquitos in the room each night, sleeping without repellant is not possible. Matress is quite hard."

"Note: This is my second (glowing) review for Mabuhay Guest House. As I was waiting for my visa process to complete at the nearby embassy, I kept extending my stay with Ms. Sara. The price, location, and overall value are what initially caught my attention. But what makes staying at Mabuhay really great is the host! Ms. Sara is one of the nicest/most genuine people I've ever met. During my stay, she was able to help me solve numerous travel-related issues. She definitely didn't need to help me, but that's just the type of person she is... And while I'm not particularly social when I travel, it wasn't long before I was hanging out downstairs with Ms Sara and the other guests, with a cold beverage, talking about a wide range of topics. I really hope the best for Ms Sara's business and family. And I genuinely appreciate the hospitality."
"This was an interesting hostel to stay at in a private room that was quiet (thanks to some soundproofing), and my room was cool with a loft bed over an area with a nice desk (I work remotely) and ample closet space. Great location just minutes from the night market and other sights. I spent most of my time here just walking around and exploring the city. Nice breakfast!"
